I was woken up this morning to an earthquake and let me tell you I was terrified. So many thoughts rushed through my mind as I tried to figure out what to do. Luckily it was very short, about 20 to 30 seconds. In a city about 84 miles from me is where the 5.7 earthquake actually hit and we could feel it where we were. Thankfully we have no damage, but many closer by do. Even my in-laws had things falling off their shelves. They are continuing to have aftershocks still hours later. I haven’t been feeling any of them, but I am afraid a stronger aftershock may hit. You guys.... this world has gone crazy and so much is happening. Please just take the time to hug your loved ones and please be safe out there.

Judith, I haven’t ever experienced one before, so this was scary to me. I’m glad they don’t bother you guys. But I agree, tornados and hurricanes do sound scarier.

Krista -- She's fine; we grew up with earthquakes so they don't particularly bother us unless some treasured item falls off a shelf and breaks, which happened to my daughter's teapot collection a few years ago. We don't get them that often. I would much rather put up with occasional earthquakes than tornadoes and hurricanes.

Don’t you get a lot in California? Is your sister okay? Did she have any damage?

I have a sister in Utah who woke up to the earthquake. She said it felt like home.

How terrible to have to go through! I had only heard one small blurb about it here in MN. I believe we are entering a more serious time of the rubber meeting the road. How close is our relationship with God, do we really know how He wants us to live, do we really believe all He tells us in the Bible, are we really living a life of faith? Deep questions, but it seems like we have been given extra time at home to consider these things. God is for us, the more we turn to Him, the more He gets involved in our lives. You and your family are in my prayers.

YHVH’s blessings to you on your life's journey.

Oh wow Sherone. I didn’t know it traveled there too. Was there any damage in Evanston?

We felt it in Evanston too. Well, I should say that others did. I was bouncing down a dirt road in a truck. Just thought it was another normal day. It caused quite a stir.

Thank you everyone. No it didn’t scare my kids. They were more worried why I was freaking out lol. I am surprised that it wasn’t on anyone’s news. It was on our news all day. The last update I seen, there had been 94 aftershocks. I feel so bad for those people who experienced them all day. I have lived in Utah my whole life and that was the first earthquake I have experienced. Definitely not something I want to experience again. I can only imagine the terror others felt who were closer or for people who have been in worse ones. I hope our world can start looking up and having more positive.

Krista...praying for your Peace and Calm for you and your sweet family. It is hard to deal with Natural Disasters on top of The Corvid19...but we will all
get through this in God's Strength. It seems like there is so much going on...I know it can be overwhelming at times. Hang in there and count your
blessings and hold them close.

Love, Hugs, and Prayers,

Krista, I am relieved to hear that you and your family were safe!! What a scary thing to have happen out of the blue. Hopefully things will settle back down along some fault line and no further quakes will erupt.

Funny, not one word on the news here about your earthquake!!! How scary! The world seems to be convulsing in pain in many ways! MaryJane is so right! We need to be praying as much as possible and helping others where and when we can! Stay safe and healthy!!

Oh my, Earthquakes scare me to pieces. I am so glad you are alright. Did it frighten the kids? I hope not. I think we all need to say a lot of prayers. Too many bad things going on right now.
