My Merit Badge Planner arrived today and I love it! It is so easy to use. I don't want to write in it because I know I'll want to use it with my grandchildren. It's just so nice!

Denise, when I first started working on badges I did print mine out, and kept a record of what I had done ... Must say I like the planner .... more compact and well organized.

Denise, as Cydnie stated up above, they will be sending out PDF files to those who purchase the binder that can be printed out and added to the binder. The list on the website will also be kept updated for those who don’t have binders.

I printed mine out when they first started the merit badges. It's very easy and they had kept it up to date when adding more badges. Will that option still be available for new badges as they are added?

Thanks MaryJane for the planner update. I love the idea of including a calendar along with it. It helps to give another way of tracking and setting goals and deadlines for the badges. Would love to see more ladies have the planner.

Cydnie,
I was feeling a little sheepish about printing my planner. Thank you for letting me know this is actually done by some. I look forward to seeing the new pages and will be sure to download and print them and add them to my big three ring binder.

Hey everyone, we're glad to hear that you're enjoying the Merit Badge Planners! We just wanted to let everyone know that as the year comes to an end, we'll be sending a PDF with the four updated yearly pages to everyone who has purchased a binder. You can download these pages for print and have your binder be up-to-date as we move on to the next year.

Hi Sandy, I will check with Cydnie in the morning to make sure she's been keeping our online, printable version of badge requirements updated, but that option has always been available here:

We've been brainstorming how best to continue printing and assembling our Merit Badge Planners here, given how expensive it is to outsource them. Our price will need to go up to $34.79 (to cover our out-of-pocket costs plus Cydnie's labor to cut tabs, put them together, etc.). If it helps any, Brian has started including our increasingly outdated but beautiful 2020 calendar in with planner orders.

Could there be a printable option so that each person could print the portions of the planner they need? That should cut down on the printing cost and each person could make their own cover. Just a thought.

Thank you Krista for alerting me to questions about when the planner will be back in stock. I don't have a definitive answer at the moment but we've been working on it the last couple of days. We've created/sold about 150 of them to date. In order to get started, we printed them here (it takes Cydnie several days to do a batch) and then she took them to Fed Ex so they could cut each page and punch holes in them. Cydnie then brought them back to the farm to hand cut the tab pages (Fed Ex can't do those), and assemble them. As all this unfolded, it was my job to keep track of costs to see if what we were charging covered everything. I thought all was well until we got the biggest monthly bill ever from Xerox (who we rent our big printer/copier from: copies are metered remotely). Our bills for all that we do here are usually around $275 or less/month. The bill we received from Xerox for printing 60 planners was $1,200 on top of everything else: Cydnie's labor, the binder itself, buying the paper and cardstock, etc. So, we decided to get a bid from Fed Ex for doing the entire thing, start to finish. We got that bid today. $6,200 for 100 of them!!!! So, we've gone back to the drawing board to find a more workable solution. We're delighted to be selling so many, but it needs to be affordable for everyone involved. Stay tuned!

Terri, that is a wonderful suggestion! I will let my Auntie MJ know and hopefully it will be a new badge for 2021!

Deb, Sara is correct. You will have to renew your membership first before you can order the planner. After that they will be under the Sisterhood Supplies.

My planner came today and I am so impressed. Now to get busy and decide what badge I want to work on first.

Do I need to renew my sisterhood membership before I can order a planner? I didn't see them in the store.

Miss Sara...I'm with you, it's been several years since I've done any badges as life got in the way. However, today I've made the decision to get back and tried to order the Merit Badge Planner, but it's not available at the moment. (out of stock), but will persevere in the Garden and Kitchen.

I have four badges from several years ago but haven't done anything since. So today I decided to get back to it and ordered a Merit Badge Planner. I hope to begin with two of my favorite things Garden Gate & Farm Kitchen.

A pantry badge sounds wonderful. There is a lot that could be done with that.
