Posted - Jul 09 2020 : 12:00:36 PM Hello and Good Day to Everyone
My name is Sherrie, and I'm a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
I have to say you can never remove the country from a true country native. I tried moving into the metro-DC areas of Maryland, and then Virginia. Lovely states but there is no place like home. We all come full circle at some time in our life. I did.
All the things I thought I didn't know at an earlier age ... I applaud the young lady I used to be. She was pretty smart, had it all together, but didn't know it at the time.
It's wonderful to be with kindred spirits, no matter the state, because we all share in the beauty that is called "home." |

Posted - Jul 22 2020 : 8:17:59 PM Hi, Sherrie, Welcome. I feel like I'm talking to an eye witness. I love reading the novels centered around the Lancaster PA area. Beverly Lewis writes alot about that area, it's her hometown, too. It is on my bucket list to visit there someday. I can see why your corner of the world has a magnetic pull on you to be there and be home. Dorothy had it right, "There's no place like home." I look forward to hearing more about you and where you live. You will love being here making new friends; it's fun meeting so many women from so many places, but all with one common kindred spirit. Welcome from Southeast MO. God bless.
Take care of others knowing God takes care of you. Rom 8:28 |

Posted - Jul 16 2020 : 09:29:20 AM Welcome, Sherrie ! I am so glad to have you join in at our virtual Farm!!! I had the pleasure of visiting Lancaster, Pa with my family several decades ago and it truly is a beautiful place!! We thoroughly enjoyed the Amish farms and gorgeous landscapes. It was the place I learned about Amish baked goods and delicious homestyle restaurants. No wonder you love your home!! I am located down here in north central Florida. We are all spread out here at MJF. I am looking forward to hearing more from you as you jump in and make comments and share your thoughts and interests. WELCOME!!

Posted - Jul 15 2020 : 11:26:14 AM Hello! Lancaster County is a great place to call home, I bet. I have read about it a lot because I like Amish novels! Been there once as child and once to a needlework show in the 90's. It was really nice.
