Darlene & Jami
Dianna & Ida Jane
Rebecca & Marilyn
April & Jill/Sheridan126
Terri & Judith

Tucks not required. Please post as soon as you receive your mail. Contact your partner for their address. I've enjoyed this particular them! Even did a large mixed media from it for a friend! So I cant wait to see how your creative minds flow! Mail out is now.

Hope you all are safe, well, happy and healthy!! Thank you for joining!! Hugs!!!

Can you believe it's going to be August in a few days??? This year is going by at warp speed and I didnt even get a mini vaca!! But you know, it's a year so far I'll never ever forget!!! So I've been seeing a lot of these campers and RV's cruising up and down our main highways on this season. Because of corona people are getting outdoors more with their families. A positive for sure! So how about before schools starts let take a vintage camping trip via our ATC's!
As always, one per swap, tucks not required. You may create with any type of medium. Just keep them at the requirements provided, ok? I love how creative and talented you farmsister are!

Sign ups until the 17th of August, partners assigned on the 18th and mail out is right away! Any questions just pop me an email! Have a blast creating these little pieces of art!

Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". Artist Trading Cards are the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). Alternately you may choose to use a round ATC Coin of 2.5" diameter. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.

Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. In 1997 he created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world!

You can make ATCs with many different media including paper, fabric, felt, metal, wood, clay, paint, stamps, embellishments and more. There are tons of ideas and inspiration available online if you google ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

No, Dianna - The package wasn't torn or damaged. It may have been lying in the back of some USPS truck. I had already tossed the wrapping before I realized this was the missing package so couldn't check the post mark. No harm no foul. It really is a great card so I'm very happy to have received it.

Even though she is working with one arm, Dianna came through with an awesome Vintage Camper ATC. The door even opens. Very creative !! Of course a camping trip wouldn't be complete without smores and a Farm Girl banner to welcome your fellow campers.

Thank you, Dianna, for being my partner.

Dianna's Vintage Camper ATC was lost in the mail somewhere between Jack, AL and CA. Darn - I bet it was awesome. Dianna felt so badly and was so kind as to send a replacement to me, but with the Honey theme. Well, that's right up my alley, a "wannabee". So very "sweet" in so many ways !!
I love every art object and every treat more than I can say!! You really are a honey, Diana.

I mailed my ruffled fabric ribbons to Arizona. Finally I asked if it had arrived...no. A day or two later I said I would mail again. But when I was ready to address the envelope... She got the package; very very late, what a relief.

Ida Jane, I know I've written you several times apologizing for the 'stuck' in transit package. I even too my tracking slip to Christy at the po and she couldnt glean anymore info than I could. Not sure if the fires are preventing its arrival. It left Montgomery August 24th and that's it. SO, what I will do is just add you to my September Bee ATC swap. Do not send anything, unless of course by chance we become partners again then you'll get 3 from me, lol. But I will send you a bee package since your camper package did not arrive oky doky artichoky?? Sorry about that. Par for 2020!!

HI Judith,
Glad you like it. It was fun to make. Mom helped me with the perspective for the inside of the tent. You could say it is a three generation ATC.

Rebecca, thank you so much for your camping out cards! We never owned a camper. Daddy would take us on a weekend fishing trip, but he rented a cabin for us to sleep in. One night maybe two. Drilling for oil did not provide vacation time...Those things ran 24 hours every day...even on the weekends. We often took a Sunday dinner to share with our daddy, when he had a daytime shift. He preferred the Night shift. Out in Western Texas the day time temps were 110+, but at night you needed a long sleeve, because it was cool. My (Scottish ancestry) daddy was fair skinned, with reddish blonde hair and blue eyes. So you know he burned when the sun was shining bright.
I love that little bag! Perfect for me! I have so many old patterns. I once had a hot pink outfit much like the one on the right. In fact I probably looked like the drawing with my short dark hair and skinny body. Alas no more! Rebecca, thanks for taking me down memory lane! I love it all! I'm glad you like Susan Branch too!

When I was about seven, my mom had a new friend from church. She, her hubby and two preschoolers lived in a camper. Think 1950! Before the movie about the long, long trailer came out with Lucy and her rocks!
Anyway...this was Snyder, Texas 1950...with 100 oil rigs running constantly. It was a noisy, bustling place, bursting at the seams place...so lots of families lived in those tiny campers. I remember the bed, full sized took up almost the whole bedroom. The living room was very western, with the sofa and one chair with the western images stitched into the back covering of beach piece. The end tables and coffee table were wagon wheel design with copper ash trays sitting everywhere, because every man smoked! Some women also smoked! She had a bronze horse clock that worked!
I do not remember much else!

Darlene it turned out so cute. Working with such a tiny area, with arthritic fingers, like a mine, is sometimes difficult.
Isn't it fun to try new ideas!
