I love sewing with the hand crank; you can go just as slow asa you want if you need to for accuracy.
The non-real iron is the old flat iron I put on the stove to heat.

Judith - you must be multi-talented to use that hand crank machine. I have a Jones handcrank and I can't get the hang of guiding the fabric with my left hand and cranking with my right. LOL!

What can you use for a non-real iron?

Grace -- Here is your quiltlet being manufactured while camping with my favorite 1930 Jones hand crank machine. DH kindly turned on the generator so I could use a real iron.

I don't mind seeing snow every once in a while but don't like driving in it. We only see it here every 20 years or so and it never sticks long enough to shovel.

I sometimes hope for a little snow here in Texas - I grew up with snow on the ground in Illinois. I like to see it once in a while, just don't like shoveling it. LOL!

Awwwww, lookie here what a fun Fall quiltlet I received from Kathy. That wonderful mummy is in glow in the dark thread and is too adorable. When I tried to take his photo in the dark, the flash went off, so he didn't "glow". But he sure is cute. And the pumpkins -- oh my gosh, Kathy hand painted them and they are just lovely. http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/Snitz/Images/2021/10/mummy.jpg?v=30244248[/IMG]A big thank you to our very talented Kansas Kathy . . .
