Warm, rain and thunder. Just waiting for the wind.
Made up a pot roast this morning ready to go in the oven.
I have a few more pages to read in Kristin Hannah's new book.
A nice read, but not has good as some of her other books.
The picture I posted is in the living room, the clock is from the late 1800's, my aunt gave it to me. The old China is from Richard's Aunts.
Off to play house.

Nancy, sounds like a good way to spend the day. I have a clock that belonged to my great grandmother. They called it a kitchen clock and it is similar to yours. She received it for her 7th birthday so it would have been sometime in the late 1870s.

11Beautiful old pitchers and lovely clock! Hey, I love a good pot roast dinner, so save me a place at the table! LOL!!

Sara, I love the name, Aunt Mary's Cafe! It reminds me of what a name might be for the stories of Pearl when she was out and about and stopped for something to eat. And today's special sounds good to me too. I'll have the friend chicken!

Love your old china, Nancy Jo, so beautiful. Been cloudy, misty and thundery off an on here as well. No roast here, but that sounds wonderful! I may run to market to get some dinner for tonight, I didn't plan, nothing defrosted, wasn't feeling top of the world yesterday so I'm behind on playing house... and I don't even feel bad about it! LOL! Enjoy a quiet evening!

Beautiful clock. Enjoy your day inside and I know your pot roast will be yummy. Two of my sisters and I are having lunch at Aunt Mary's Cafe today. Special is chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken.
