So, while out and about several weeks ago, I found this at the Thrift, and for only $2.50

Wouldn't this make a Kool wall hanging,
"Dad" can hang a belt or tie from it.
From the knob,.maybe even a light weight jacket..
Hmmm, I think I will keep my eyes open for another one, then I can hang one in the laundry room and the other next to hubby's. Closet.

Denise,, I would suggest more of a small drawer pull/knob. or even a decorative hook maybe?

I always thought those shoe stretchers were cool. You barely see them used anymore unless it's in a movie.
I wonder if a door knob would work or would one maybe be a bit big for that?

I know my hubby will probably be hanging his baseball cap on it!

Yes, an old timey doorknob would be really nifty on that shoe tree.

I have seen more simple ones,, w/o the knob,, but when I spotted this,, well,,, I could not resist! That being said, I should have bought the simpler ones as well, I could drill a small hole and screw in or glue on a cute little knob..

What a great idea, Grace! I love that photo you took too. Once again, I have never come across wooden shoe inserts, but if I do, I think I would love to have one for my own belts.

My MIL is about the same age. Maybe get her a gift card to her favorite store or restaurant? Does she have any hobbies or pets? Maybe tea?

Very good idea, tough buying for the men, at least it is for me. I'm trying to figure out what to get my MIL for Mother's Day. She lives out in southern CA and is 90. She doesn't need anything, has diet restrictions, and doesn't like flowers. My husband, her son, is no help whatsoever.
