Been watching him for awhile and his journey homesteading with chronic illness, several kids, and amazing wife. He just published a book and I think it's a great place to start for anyone wanting to get that homestead going even if you have just a yard or 50 acres. Gotta start somewhere and he starts by taking you through chickens and garden. It's called The Rooted Life. I liked it so much, I got a copy for a friend who is sort of stuck. She has chickens and a garden but needed help getting those systems together so they weren't a big mystery to her.
