What is your favorite way to save snow peas? I am getting about 2 handfuls a day and it’s more than my family can consume. I would love to save some for later. If it works out I would love to plant some more for a fall crop and save those as well. This is my first year getting more than I could eat.

Thank you Carole! I'm excited to get my next batch of peas frozen.

Before I freeze anything, I blanche them. Aside from other benefits, the color is so much more vibrant.

Cheers!

Denise, thank you! I’m making sure I have all this information ready to save my peas from the fall crop.

I freeze them after blanching a few minutes.

Denise and Michele, do you freeze them as is?

Lisa, that sounds yummy. I’ll have to give that a try.

Krista, I fermented some and I love them!
Added some dill stems, the salt and filtered water. I think they are my favorite fermented food! Tastes like a crunchy pickle, only a snow pea!

I have froze them as well. Works out well for stir fry and such.

I freeze them when we have some we can't use up. That is rare because we eat them raw by the handful or in salads or cooked.
