In SO CAL. Yucca plants are common in many landscapes..
Needless to say I was surprised to see some growing up here in Eastern Washington,
I dug this one up and transplanted it by the trees with the mind set, if it survives it stays!
Well that was 2 years ago…
And now!!!

It’s a keeper!

Yuccas were the darling of landscapers here in the Midwest during the '70's and 80's. They thrive here and bloom beautifully. It is amazing how tall their stems get for the flowers and they are very sturdy. Enjoy your yucca, hope it blooms for years for you.

This is pretty, Grace. Who knew such a plant would provide such a pretty flower!

Tough little Yucca! Beautiful blooms!

We had one in our front yard in Beaverton, Oregon of all places and it thrived! Got huge and beautiful until my brother fell into it and that was the end of it! We have several in our neighborhood entrance here in Central Oregon, so pretty when they are all in bloom at the same time!

Very pretty Grace. I'm happy it survived and now you get to enjoy it's beauty.

Oh yes, Grace, we have them here growing as wild as the grape vines! Some places you'll never see a one and then other landscapes they will cover it. I do so love the flowers tho. I had no idea they'd grow there! Cool beans!

Beautiful blooms. I don't see many of those in our area.
