As crazy as it sounds I have never made my own pie before. To justify though we are not big pie eating people. Thanksgiving is about really the only time. So when my oldest asked me to make him a pie I just had to try. After some research we settled on a snicker doodle pie. It may not look very pretty and my pie edging needs some practice lol, but it turned out delicious! I'm so glad he asked me to make one. We may actually start eating pie more than once a year now!

Thank you Winnie and April!

Definitely give it a try April. It's pretty good. It did look more like a cake when finished but was still good.

Beautiful Pie, Krista! I've never tried a snickerdoodle pie, but I may have to google the receipe now that you have shared such sweet inspiration with us all! Snickerdoodle cookies were my dad's favorite and I do love those!!

Thanks Carole. I guess you can call a quiche your style of pie! In that case it counts.

It's lovely! Yes, rustic, I like that!

I don't make pies often either, that is, unless you call a quiche a pie! lol

Thank you all!

Dawn, I love the idea of calling them rustic! I will call mine rustic too.

Denise, that is probably what happened to my edges too. Thanks for the tip.

Karen, I don't know about that lol!

Nancy, I bet your pies look great!

I have to say, that looks better then any pie I can make. My Daughters are good at it
so they usually bring the pies to me. Which is a good thing. your pie looks really good.

That looks delicious! My edges tend to shrink a bit when I make my pies. It might be because I handle them to much. I've heard that anyway. Doing apple and pumpkin tomorrow.

Yum, Krista!! Good job! It looks wonderful. I’ve made my fair share of pies and my crust edges have never looked that good! Hahaha

Your pie looks delicious Krista. Looks like you have pie making down already! I like to say my pies are rustic looking, clear to all that they are homemade. Enjoy your pie, I will be making my pumpkin pie Wednesday.

Happy Baking & Thanksgiving!
