May 28 for us! Pretty much what I expected as we usually plan on end of May. If you look at the zone map for Michigan, we are that little colored “dot” in the north indicating, ummm, COLD. Often frost again in mid September, possibly earlier. Really looking forward to planting some seeds/plants in our high tunnel this year-should be able to do some cool weather crops by mid May to get a jump start on fresh veggies.

Holy moly, after 3 beautiful weeks of warm weather, garden cleaning and prepping, tonight it will freeze and tomorrow night even colder, 27!! A lot of my perennials are up so hopefully covering them will help. Drafted mother nature!!

Wow mine says April 30. That seems wrong to me. I swear last year we still had some frost into May. I will have to go get my garden journal out and see what I have written down. I would love to plant earlier this year. I know in March of last year I planted some cold crop seeds. That is probably not going to happen this year since my garden is still completely hidden under snow.

Thanks for the link Sara. Here in IL our frost date used to be May 15, now climate change has moved it to May 4.

Well that is interesting. We have 129 days for the growing season. Last frost date is May 16. Cool Sara, thanks.
