Does anyone still wear Easter Bonnets? We moved to East Texas about 5yrs ago from SoCal. When we were there we attended a surfer hippie type church. Couldn't find one out here. The churches here are more traditional. Which is kinda nostalgic for me. Thought I would rekindle a family tradition of dressing up including the bonnets the women folk would wear. I may be the only one though after asking my church sisters if they wear Easter bonnets.
Picture are my two choices. Couldn't find anything fancier out here close by.
Any thoughts or cool pics from any of my Farmgirl Sisters are welcome.

Hi Denise,
I burn easily too and try to wear a hat when gardening or kayaking.

I think it's funny when people ask if we are Amish or Mennonite and you know they know nothing about either.
I love hats. I have a collection of vintage hats from my sister in law that her husband gave me after she passed on.
I don't wear hats except to the beach or pool or outside in summer as I burn easily.
No one where I attend church wears hats except for in winter. And even then not too many do. I remember dressing up for Easter and I always dressed my girls up when they were young too. I don't really have a hat head as we call it in our family. At least not for any hats I've found.

Thanks April,
You shouldn't feel self conscious for being stylish and unique.

It was my hubby's birthday yesterday and we went to the buffet at Golden Corral. I admit it I am a messy eater so I picked out one of my fancy bibbed aprons to wear and protect my shirt. I did get some funny looks at the restaurant but also got a few smiles. One lady asked me if I was a Mennonite. I said no, I am just messy.

I love the purple one, Nancy.

I have a blue one I got at an estate sale and a purple one I got at an antique shop on one of our car trips. I may just have to wear one on Easter Sunday.

Nancy, I love your hats, especially the purple one. I love hats too, sometimes I feel a little self conscious to wear them out and about because you never see any other ladies wearing any... I remember always dressing up as a young girl, Easter was one of my favorite holidays growing up because I always looked forward to the new dress, dressing up, wearing my little white dress shoes, my purse and hat. So cheers to us for wearing our beautiful hats and keeping the nostalgic spirit alive!!

Nancy, I love your brown hat! It's very pretty. I haven't noticed any of them here either.

Thanks Rebecca,
I didn't even think of Amazon. I checked there just now and I think I will be able to find plenty of new bonnets to wear. I am thinking of wearing the tan hat on Palm Sunday and the purple on Easter Sunday.

I love wearing hats to Church and my two daughters also wear hats. I love both of yours. I can’t find any real fancy hats here in northern Mississippi, so I get them off of Amazon.
