Hello,
I just recently took part in a lovely project suggested by Gail of Creative Workshops (go to http://creativeworkshops.ning.com/groups) where she offers a free video class on these sweet flags. All you need to do is be a member and that is FREE!

My flags are about Healing, for the planet, for the people, for my family and for myself. It was healing to do the stitching and sewing. The idea is just to put your prayer or affirmation on your flag, and then let it blow in the breeze so the prayer can travel on the wind.

This was a good project to use bits of old hankies, old buttons, small pieces of lace, ribbon and string. I strung all my flags on an old vintage piece of seam binding.

You can see all the flags on my blog artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com

Hugs and healing to you all,
Terri

Terri,

I just took a peek at your blog and everything is fabulous!! I love all of your necklaces, domino books, and the ATCs are great! I, too, love Downton Abbey! You are very talented and everything is just so beautiful! I had to laugh when I was scrolling through the pages and saw a familiar sight.....the valentine I did for the valentines day swap. Lol. Very honored to have it on your site.

Terri, these are wonderful. I am going to try and make one for my Aunt for a Christmas Prize. Why don't you host a swap for one of the flags??
artfulsister Posted - Jul 20 2012 : 8:57:36 PM
Thank you so much Diane, Nini, Catmom, Judy, Marly, Janet, Farmdream, Emily, Fiddlehead Farms and Grace!
You all are so kind! (I hope I thanked you all)

Katmom, the birdie flag with the notes, is all fabric, except for the music paper behind. I embroidered the birdie and notes, then sewed them over some lace, music paper and an old piece of embroidered linen.

Hugs,
Terri

Terri,
I agree with all these beautiful ladies... what a sweet & lovely idea,,,
I love Enpherma (sp) art work....
Question, the one with the 'music' notes... is that paper or fabric or did you photo copy it onto iron-on fabric?
Luv it!
