We officially moved this last weekend and are super excited for our new home. We finally got our little bit of land and cant wait for spring to roll around so we can get our land ready for animals! I will finally be getting some chickens! I'm also starting to make plans for what kind of garden I would like. It's been some super crazy days lately but we are loving the new country life and peace from the city. If any of you have my old address and would like my new one please send me an email! I cant wait to share our new adventures with you all!!

This is our backyard view!

Barbara, my kids have done awesome with the stairs. It's my Great Dane that I worry about. We try to keep her downstairs because of her leg but occasionally we catch her sneaking up to my daughters room. It was her favorite place to be at the old house so we aren't surprised she still wants to be near her. I agree. One acre will be perfect for us! I'm getting excited for spring.

Nancy, thank you!

Ha ha Grace! Now I have to make some! Thanks for the idea!

Thanks Winnie! I feel so excited and so blessed. It's been crazy but I'm so excited for our new adventures here.

Krista, this new home looks perfect for your busy family both inside and out. Lots of space to create a place that will be fun to turn into a new home. Nothing like a blank slate to customize to your preferences.

Oh Krista,
Your house is beautiful. An acre is still a good sized piece of land. You could farm part of it and have animals on the other part. I will need to take some pics of our place and post too. Thanks for the email.

Hi Barbara,
My shu tsu came to live with us when we were still in California last January. We had a second story and he tested the stairs once. Never been so scared in my life. Thought I was going to find a fur sack of broken bones t the bottom. He is tuff for a city boy. He shook it off but ever after barked when he wanted downstairs. We had to pick his royal hinneyess up and carry him down. Glad we have a single story with ramps here in East Texas because he has plumped up over the past few months.

Beautiful home and so spacious for the children. I hope they stay safe on the stairs. Our pug rolled down ours one morning---LOL> My mother always said an acre of land was big enough and all one person could handle. She loved gardening and flowers and her lawn and veggie garden was beautiful---as yours will be. What fun you will have getting your chickens.

Nancy, here is a picture of the front of our house. My mom calls it the gingerbread house because it looks like one lol!

Here are a couple pictures of the inside. These were during a walkthrough so there are tape on the walls and missing stuff.

Nancy, I emailed you my address. My kids are doing really good. They are loving the new house and having their own rooms. My oldest is upset that I don't have all the Christmas decorations up so I have been trying to get the decorations up along with unpacking. I can almost see my kitchen again lol!

Barbara, I have hated moving at Christmas time. I wish we could have moved sooner. It has added extra chaos to everything. But Christmas in a new house is fun!

Winnie, now I am 40 minutes closer to Auntie MaryJane since we moved. She is only about 9 hours away. It would be wonderful to plan a trip to visit this coming summer!

Nancy, it has been exciting. We only have an acre, but that's plenty for what we want. We are near a small town. That will be a bit of an adjustment as far as the fact we don't have a Joann craft store near by. We only have a small grocery store and some other shops. Let me get some pictures for you. It's a new build. We have neighbors to one side but the other side we won't have any until January. There is nothing but land behind us and across the street from us.

Hi Krista,
Isn't it exciting getting your dream home. How large is your property? Do you have any pictures of your home? Is your property in a small town or near a city? So glad for you and your family!

We bought a 4.5 acre property. We moved near a small town of less than 1900. We love it but are still adjusting to small town country life.

Krista, congratulations on your new home!! It sounds like a wonderful place where you can transform it into your own little Homestead and allow the children to have some new kinds of animals to take care of and enjoy. Maybe you have a bit of your Auntie MaryJane in your blood? Great things happened on a little farm in Idaho on Wild Iris Lane decades ago. I am looking forward to how projects and life unfolds for you over these next few years. So many possibilities!! Please keep us posted and enjoy your first country home Christmas on the farm!

So happy for you Krista---I will email you so I can send you a Christmas card. And so proud of you for having the nerve to move at Christmas---I was like that when young---but no more. Can't wait to see pics and hear of spring at your house. Blessed Christmas to you and your beautiful family.

Krista...so Happy for you to finally get that little slice of Paradise! Oh, what a hectic time to move, however. And I see snow on the ground! Not my cup of tea but happy for you all.
It will be fun to watch your Farm Transformation when Spring rolls around and you start planning a garden etc.

Blessings and Hugs,
Peggy
