Here is something I'm working on.

Posted - Jun 14 2025 : 3:14:23 PM Good job Linda. I have a few I need to alter too. I don't understand the current trend for skirts so short that you don't dare to lean over.

Posted - Jun 14 2025 : 12:27:47 PM I just ordered this quilt kit to make for our granddaughter who is a missionary.
We will be going to see her in September.
Until the kit comes, which could be a couple weeks, I have been working on recycling some skirts I had that were too short or too long. I added eyelet to one of them, a flounce to another, and removed 8-1/2” from another skirt. Now they will be wearable for me. Trying to find a good skirt pattern to make two skirts with bright and colorful fabric I bought on St. George Island in the Caribbean in January.

I also have plenty of UFOs to keep me busy. I am posting my recent UFOs in the UFO thread.

Posted - Jun 13 2025 : 3:14:47 PM Karen, I agree with you! There are days when one boy will have a game from 5-6 and the other will have practice at a different park from 7-8. It gives me an hour to return home, make dinner, and load everyone back in the car. My husband works 14 hour days, so I run this zoo by myself lol! Monday thru Thursday are exhausting!

Posted - Jun 12 2025 : 7:28:16 PM Grace - it is a mini quilt. I'll have to measure it and get back to you, but it's roughly the size of a kitchen towel.

Posted - Jun 12 2025 : 6:32:35 PM You should have seen the mess when my fabric was stuffed in a bin in the basement. I tried to keep it in order but everything got stirred around when I pawed through it for fabric.

Posted - Jun 11 2025 : 6:07:53 PM Good luck, Krista! :) When my girls were playing their chosen sports, there wasn’t much time to do any crafting…especially because the softball coach for Katie’s team was her dad!! :) lol. First to get to practice, last to leave. Then dinner and the bedtime routines!

Posted - Jun 11 2025 : 5:38:56 PM Baseball season started here again and I spend much of my time at the fields watching my boys, so my crafting has really slowed down. But I finally got all the yarn I need for my next corner to corner. Hopefully I can sneak in a couple rows here soon.

Posted - Jun 04 2025 : 1:40:10 PM Thank you everyone! Judith - that's a great idea, to piece the back. That way I can save any bigger pieces I have (if any) for another project. No one will really see the back anyway! Karen - I'll probably just stitch in the ditch for the vertical rows and across the blocks horizontally. Linda - the blocks are 2 3/4 inches before they're all sewn together.
Vanessa - what a wonderful sewing space! Can't wait to see all your creations :)

My sewing sanctuary is back! I've added a large table, ironing board and iron, and my dad's old trunk for fabric. Although I still have a lap quilt I'm hand quilting, I've begun the 16 patch pattern my sister sent me.
Across the room is the desk where I will write to penpals, and in the closet I have pre-bagged future quilt fabric and a quilt needing repair.

Posted - Jun 02 2025 : 3:25:23 PM Very cute quilt, Heather. What size are the pieced squares? They look pretty small. I have a lot of Christmas fabric and scraps. Maybe I will also do something like that.
