welcome back mima.
I suggest that you sign up to Miz Frannies little email newsletter she sends out..she has been posting ideas on how to make things have that "olde" look. Maybe email her and ask to be put on her email list.

Mima,
Here are a couple of sites you can use for patterns and idea:
http://twigs-n-sprigs.safeshopper.com/
http://www.aprimitivegiftforher.com/store/WsDefault.asp?Cat=PillowsSamplersMore

Also, if you go on Ebay and do a search for primitive recipes some good stuff will come up. Tina is right, Frannie has been giving some good stuff. I can forward it if you want me to.

Mima -- glad to see you back. I can relate to what you're going through. I'm a totally shabby chic/cottage type of person. Pink is my favorite color, roses my favorite flower. However, I'm slowly being won over to the dark side -- the dark colors of prim, that is! I got the cutest free pattern today for making watermelon slices and crow bowl fillers. Can't wait to do them because I get to paint on fabric. Just google primitive crafts or patterns and you'll come up with all kinds of sites. One of my favorites is www.patternmart.com. They have a free online crafting magazine that comes out every other month. It always includes two free pattern downloads -- that's where I got my free pattern today. And the site has loads of pattern for all kinds of prim crafts at very resonable prices.

Thanks for all your tips! love you guys!
Kathy- gonna get my butt back on! the house is still in shambles...which also could account for feeling outta sorts! DH did finish the ceilings, painted the first coat and was measuring the new baseboards...I'm seeing progress.Maybe we'll get at least one room put back today! We're having friends over for a BBQ- we'll just take them right out to the backyard! happy 4th!!!
