Do you all do these by hand or do you use one of those yo-yo makers?

Levisgrammy are you joining in too

We are doing them by hand as a cd is our template But if you want to do them another way I guess you could but they won't work out as the same size. Now if you had the new cool ones for flowers and hearts I don't think any one would argue with those as they are a novelty and always fun to have a little something differnt in a swap.

Sunshine,
I guess I have too much going on to commit to do this one. Would love to do it sometime though. Maybe someone will do another later?

Sunshine, sign me up twice and I will make 100. I was in the last yo-yo swap like you and loved it! I will use differnet fabric this time. Thanks Sunshine for being the mama of the swap!

I like yo yo quilts, but the negative space freaks me out...i think if i make one it will have to be put on some kind of backing, and tacked down, and binding put on the edges or something, right now a glass jar of them works for me!

yes I have seen many that have a foundation for the backing to make them stronger. They make a lovely spring summer coverlet when you don't want much weight and heat from your bed covering. Mine are going into what use to be the kids table topper for their crafts now the girls all decided they will be a coverlet for my youngest daughter to make the transition to her own room a little easier for her.

How sweet that the table toppeer is becoming a quilt, sunshine. What a nice surprise/plan for your daughter.

I have one question on sewing these together to make a topper or quilt. When you hand tack them side by side, do you turn them together , right side to right side, and take stitches and then open it out. Or do you try and just stitch them while they are laying side by side?
