gosh .. isn't it amazing how some of us let our cabinets and closets become so cluttered?

wednesday must have gotten that trait from me!!! we've been going through her linen closets and kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and the children's clothes closets (AND the dreaded 'hall' closet. making big piles for GoodWill. lucas has the most wonderful clothes .. there are going to be some very lucky little guys out there. (i actually thought of seeng if any of the farmgurlz might want them for the price of shipping .. but .. i know i would just take them home and take forever and they would clutter MY closets! i'm going to take them to my most favorite thrift store in my hometown!

sofia's beautiful little dresses will be handed down to iszabel. many of them were onlyl worn once or twice.

i find that wednesday and frankie are the biggest culprits in holding onto olde clothes. they have promised to go through THEIR closets before i head back to kentucky!

ha! i need to do the same thing with MY closets and cabinets when i get home (i do manage to do this about every six months).

how are you gurlz at 'weeding out'??

ha...you haven't seen my garage this weekend.I am having a huge and I mean huge garage sale next weekend..my garage is pretty well full of things we have cleared out of here..sofa,italian style coffee tables with burl wood tops..gosh they are pretty but need refinished on the tops...and tons of home decor stuff..shew.a lawn mower, and so much more..
I'm on a cleaning out bent..a major, major purge out.Basically I have a house full of stuff out there and then some it seems like.
I am paring down to the bare bones.Have to to get the house market ready..and plus I don't wanna haul all this stuff when I know that the area we want to move to has cool garage sales and thrift shops and I can find fun stuff elsewhere.

Wow, you girls are good! I, on the other hand am a bonafide packrat and I guess I will never get over it. I am one of those " we might need this for something later" just can't seem to part with stuff so I keep rearranging. I do make trips to the thrift to donate but only the stuff that can absolutely go, clothes, shoes, curtains never dishes or crafty stuff. Do they have anythihng like AA for packrats? I frequent yard sales but rarely hold them.
oh well, I guess someone has to buy the stuff you all get rid of.

wouldn't it just amaze us if ever added up all the money we have spent on 'stuff' over the years of our adult lives!!! of course, i believe the things we buy that we love is part of what makes us who we are. all the crafting supplies ... i have loved to craft for many years and it has given me much happiness ... even if i tried something ONCE and moved on to something else! and the CLOTHES .. even if we are good 'sales' or 'thrift store shoppers' .. it still adds up big time .. but again .. if it made us feel good at the time .. i believe it is valid.

this afternoon, sofia and i went 'shopping' (she already loves to shop!) .. i got her some adorable 'kid' sunglasses and 'jewery' .. the child LOVES 'jewery'. and yes, it thought it was a 'tad' high .. $7;. for the sunglasses and $7. for the bracelet and necklace. but i have already gotten my fourteen dollars worth watching her 'dress up' and smile.

i got me a DRILL .. so i can hang curtain rods ... and i'm sure i'll find lots of use for it in my future crafting too!

got frankie his own 'tool box' for the kids to give to him for father's day. (i got me one a year or so ago for here in toledo .. frankie took over it .. but he does not keep real good care or 'track' of the tools ... sooooo .. in self defense, i got him a really big one .. and i'm HIDING mine!!! (gotta' love that guy though!! he is SUCH a great dad and husband to our daughter and grandes).

He drove to Cincinnati (about 4 hours from toledo) today with Lucas to meet my honey hunk (who drove up from central kentucky .. to attend a RED SOX baseball game (SOX won .. so hank is a happy puppy!). Frank will often take lucas somewhere fun and also educational! he will even sometimes take him to his City Council meetings to learn all about the 'doings' of Toledo!

we're having a big family bbq tomorrow to celebrate father's day ... wednesday and i have been wrapping gifts and decorating since we got home from our shoppin' trip.

what cha'll doin' to celebrate father's day? xo

We are looking forward to a really fun outing tomorrow! My Son Jake and My Honey and I are going Kyaking (we have a two man kyak) and picnicing at Cochiti Lake about an hour from here. I plan to also take a good book to read under a nice tree while I wait for the guys to come in from the Lake and I will also take a turn in the Kyak! I have everything ready to be packed in the picnic baskets early tomorrow morning.........Looking forward to a nice peaceful, beautiful day with my two special guys!!!

Hope Everyone has a great Family Father's Day!

Until Later,
