As many of you know, I had intended to have a bustling Farm Stand this summer. . . all kinds of fresh veggies, herbs and flowers. . . well we had a record breaking "wet" summer and the stand was a bust.

Judith to my rescue!!! She has provided me with the plans for a green house!!! Doing the Happy Dance!!!

We are going to build it next spring. This will give me the fall and winter to gather up all the materials needed. So, next year I will have that Farm Stand. . . you wait and see! Thank you Judith!!

Joanna, I'm so sorry your weather didn't cooperate for you. But I believe you will have your stand next year, too. With that determination you will succeed! Good for you for having such a good attitude. I had a small greenhouse and grew lots of seeds but then didn't have the right ventilation and it got too hot in the summer. I'd love to have one using the used windows and doors. Maybe when hubby retires?

Kris,
Do you have a plan for that one ( using used windows and doors?) I saw one somewhere but I don't remember where.(Senior moment)

Joanna- I love your Farmgirl attitude!!! Do you live near Bedford? I loved there for a while.

Ha, Tina! Who were you lovin' on in Bedford??!! And I know I saw a post here somewhere, maybe on the Make it East thread. Also there was an article in one of the many magazines I picked up the other day. Maybe in Mother Earth or Hobby Farm Home. But I know someone had pictures of theirs on here.

LOL!! Thanks!! Beats pushin' daisies!!! LOL!!!
Hey Tina, I use to live in Auburn on Cottage Ave looking out at Lake Massabesic. . . just up the road from Bedford! Now I live at the very top of the state. . . 10 minutes from Canada.

Kris, I think we will incorporate the doors and windows into our green house as well. Although we don't get as hot as the rest, it can reach 100 in the direct sun in a sheltered spot.

At least I can say I tried. . . rather try and fail than sit on the sidelines of life.

Kris,
well........since I was about 10 I think it was freckled face boy named Frankie, or maybe Danny, or was it Benny? There were so many!lol... We lived on West View Drive. My Aunt and Uncle bought the house from my Mom and Dad so it is still in the family.

I find that an opening in the bottom of the greenhouse, at one end, and an opening in the eave, at the other end, moves hot air out and cooler air in, since the cooler air sinks and hot air rises.

Gratefully living on the "fat of the land".
