Hello all! I am so excited to be here. I just got out of the hospital and a dear friend borrowed me the MaryJane Farm magazine to read while I was in. I had never heard of it before and had no idea there where other women like me out there. People who wanted to reduce "things" in their lives and live off the land and make my own butter and raise my own food and be self-sufficient. I don't have my own farm at all but I plan on doing an apprenticeship through ATTRA (http://attra.ncat.org/) next year to help introduce me to farming. So if any FarmGirls participate in Attra as well, feel free to shout out. Otherwise I look forward to getting to know everyone.

My best friend is a person who will gibe me a book I have not read.

Howdy Shantel, glad you are out of the hospital, I do hope all is well! Welcome from California, I went to the Attra site, looks very interesting, I added it to my favs, so I can go back and read when I have time.

Hello Shantel,
I live in ND, also. I just joined the Farmgirl Connection last week. I moved to a country home in 2002.
I am glad that you are feeling better.
