Hi Karen! Some of my best memories are from the 6 monthes I lived in Devon! That was way back in 1985, but it doesn't seem that long ago. I've been back twice, but it's been WAY too long. Welcome...Farmgirl at Heart IS what matters. You'll love it here!

Welcome Karen from the midwest corn state of Iowa. It is great to have you on board with the forum. I have met some wonderful ladies through pen paling, exchanges and trades, and trading ideas. Careful! farmgirl connection is addictive. I love it.

Helloooo from Kentucky, Karen! I lived in England for a time, in Cornwall (Trevalga), near Boscastle--some of the happiest days of my life spent there, actually.
We are, all of us, different, but share such similar interests on this site, you'll make instant connections with kindred spirits. Hey! I think you already have!

Aye-Lo-Luv...Oww are ya then? You joined right after I did and I never got to say howdy. So...Howdy from NE Ohio. I love to read the James Herriot books so I use that greeting with everyone, even had it on my answering machine for a loooong time. I love the accent and "proper" grammer of the English. I worked 6 years with a great English lady some years back. Boy she set me straight on some words. Taught me a few too. hahahaha One I especially remember is (across). She said,"You people over here say (acrosst). There's no (t) in across!!!" See....I haven't forgotten either! lol Welcome Sister from "across" the BigPond! ;-)
