Oh, this sounds fun, I won't make this one, but one of those events I'll make. I just wanted to throw something out in the air for someone to think about....
ever been to shop hop, like the quilters go on? you know, go from quilt shop to quilt shop....they have others too, but I was thinking with all these fun farm girls...wouldn't it be interesting to make a trek across America of Farmgirl stays? Farmgirl visit to farmgirl visit? well, it was just a thought...you could start out, with a list of things you had to accomplish along the route....maybe you could earn some badges or something along the way, because stops, 2,3,& 4 would be hosting workshops to different segments along the route..so once you got to stop 4 you had a workshop on the last step of a badge, etc...kinda like a roundtable dinner where you have a different course at every stop! Anyway, you could do all kinds of stuff with this.....the possibilities are endless.....just thought I'd throw this out there, and give you all something to think about!!!!

Prosser farm girls, I just sent an e-mail but have another quick question, is this strictly for grown ups??:) My husband is going to Iraq next month and I will have my 5 year old daughter. Is this something she could come to with me? I dont have the option of an over night sitter. Its all good if this is a no kiddos event but I wanted to ask just incase cuz I would looove to come with some of my girls. I am just getting started on my chapter and the idea of being around some other farmgirls is so refreshing. Thanks and am i itching to get out in the great outdoors and sleep under the stars.!!!!

My heart is at the beach.

Wende I just checked out your blog. I'm kicking myself as we speak. I live about 30 minutes from Independence, KS and have always wanted to visit The Little House On The Prairie and would have loved to join you ladies. I wish I had joined MaryJanesFarmgirl Connection earlier. Looks like you ladies had a fun trip!

Terri, put your apron on and host a gathering... there are quit a few Calif. farm gals out there and might just be waiting for someone to toss her cowgirl hat out into the arena and get a camping trip going...
It could be an easy peasy.."hey one in Calif. interested in a camping trip? and then based on reply...decide if NO. SO. or Central Calif. would be a good place to meet up..
Then you can make it a "make your own reservation.... or you could contact a campground get the particulars and see what the gals want to do..
The Kern River is nice as is up by Yosemite,,, and there is a KOA campground in Coarsegold... also down in Orange Co.. lots of place... or maybe a long one of the beaches off HWY 1 (PCH)...
anyways... just food for thought... If I still lived in Ventura CO., I'd be the 1st to sign up...
Happy Glamping.

Grace,
Thank you for the encouragement. Lake Hemet is near me and I know a group of Sisters on the Fly has stayed there before.
I have some cousins in Ventura so I know that area too.
Maybe I just needed a little push.
I have only found one Farmgirl in CA and she is farther north. Do you know of any or should I just put out a "Holler"?

Wowzers,,, I'll will have to go back and see if I still have my list of were everyone is...
I am a Sisters on the Fly gal, #472 and they have a FaceBook page as well as a website...I think there are several meet-ups this Spring Summer in Calif... (I live in East Washington right now).. but if they have what we call a "un-official" get together,,, guests or "Sisters on the Try" as we say are welcomed to camp and meet and see what we are all about.
I have hosted an event up here in Spokane (this is my 5th year)... and I always make it an un-official event so gals can come and play and see if Camping in a trailer is their thing... some even tent camp.... now those are the brave-sturdy gals... I need my lil trailer & froofroo pillows...
That being said,,, check out CeeJay's posts here and her blogs... That gal knows how to Glamp it up ion style!

Oh you could also post in "Across the Fence" ,,, "calling all California Farm gals" to see if anyone is interested in a camping trip.

You'll be glad you did... and feel free to pick my brain for info on hosting...
Happy Trails...
