Thank you so much, Peggy. It was pretty stressful taking a class; but the women were all so nice. I think this next one will be a little more relaxing. (yeah, right.)

Tonight I am doing a little knitting to relax my fingers. Too much crocheting makes them hurt.

Sounds like you had a great time with the gkids again!

Sounds like the apronistas have been really busy again! Needy, my daughter does like you with hair...people just won't let her go.

Atkinst2, What a sweet baby boy! He looks very snugable. Out of 4 new great grandbabies ..One born in May (a girl), one to be in Sept...a girl, One in Oct. ?, One in Dec...a girl. I am knitting and crocheting up a storm!

Today I am crocheting headbands for my great grandkids to be. So far, we know 3 of 4 are girls. I learned to crochet Irish roses from You tube. I made 3 headbands so far. Each different. Found some cute little sparkly crown/tiara buttons to use as flower centers on the bands. Just having some fun with them I guess.

I usually make these to sell but right now I'm working on some infant hats for a NICU unit. One of my childhood friends had two children that were both premature and both of them went home to heaven. She tries to do something for a NICU every Christmas. This year she has asked me to make hats. She wants to pay me but I don't feel like it's the right thing to do in receiving payment. So I will make some nurses gift bags with some Mary Kay product in it. If I'm able to book them for a facial then that's payment enough. Anything for a friend.

Juanita . . . you made me smile. I'm not sure I can keep up with me! I had such great sales at market this past Saturday that I'm going to have to miss this Saturday coming up just so I can get aprons made. I was able to get a lot of cutting down on Sunday and some sewn the past two days. Monday it was major work in the yard day so no sewing got done that day.
And, we're having long overdue repairs and new windshield done on our van over the past week and a half, so we've been making trips to town to take it in and then go get it. It's aging but we just can't look at any new vehicles right now and I don't want a car payment.
Anyway, sewing aprons like crazy to fill orders and be ready for market on the 17th.

You girls are doing such beautiful work! Keep it up!

love the quilt, sounds like you ladies are very busy. I am trying to get my canning done, and a quilt top that I started last fall. The hours, days, weeks, months, just fly away. So I picked up a cross stitch table runner that I carry with me everywhere I go, making every minute count, it may actually be done in a couple more days, maybe week.

RoDonna, those hats are really neat!
Thank you, ladies, for the comments on my quilt, danyel and ceridwen. You are right Carole! It must be addictive! I signed up for another class beginning Monday. We will make a "Lucky Stars" quilt. If you google that you see a really pretty photo of it. I need more practice on cutting the fabrics. I am using the '30's reprod. fabrics. Excited!

I do not have photos today, but I started stitching cards for part of my mother's Christmas present. I am also crocheting up scarves for the homeless, and working on Christmas ornaments. Farmer's Market is coming to an end next month, and I may add a few items, but for now, using up scrap yarns etc. Of course, that's all in between canning jams, jellies, dehydrating and what not.

I know that it is not even close to Halloween yet, but I was playing in the clay and this is what I came up with. I just love this little door. I will be putting this into the Halloween swap when our partners are chosen.

Marcy, that is so cute. I have been playing with Halloween and fall fabric, so ready for cooler temps!

Marcy.....I LOVE both of your Halloween and Christmas decorations. How fun it must be to make them and how Blessed your partners will be to receive them. I did not win Winnie the witch from your drawing last year but you made me one just like her, and I just adore her so much. I am in such an itch to decorate, that I will have her out on Labor Day. :) You are most creative.

Marcy your doors are so cute, you are very talented!
I've been sewing a lot of aprons lately for my Etsy shop and started a maple leaf quilt, inspired by the change of seasons but today I switched gears entirely and sat down with a youtibe tutorial to learn how to make wire sculpted Tree of Life pendants and got so engrossed in trying that I ended up making five of them and boy are my fingers sore from twisting all that wire!
They're not too pretty yet,I need some more practice but here are my first attempts at them.

I just had to try and make some clay magnets after falling in love with the sheep magnet that Grace wrote about a few posts back. I have a Christmas swap coming up and so I made these. I really like how they came out.

And now I am doing decoupage. (as if I really need another hobby) I am doing a Christmas swap and wanted to look for something different to add to it. I saw one of these on the internet and decided to try my hand at it. I love it. Even my oldest son said, "mom, that is really nice" I just hope the person that I send it to likes it as much as I do.
