Yup, Winnie! I can see another UFO on the horizon! I went to a favorite yarn shop "Blue Heron" in Decorah, IA the other day. Came away with sock yarn. 2 long circ needles and a pattern for the shops beginner class. LOL

Yep, Winnie! Me, too! I am determined to knit a pair of socks. I have had the sock yarn for quite a while. Opinions needed: Is the 2-circular-needles method easier than the 4-double-pointed-needles. I have used circular needles for quite a few sweaters, and I like using them.

Linda I have used the 2 circular needles and liked it. I think the double points would be fine but I learned on the circulars. I think it was easier on my wrists as well.

Hay there,

Taxes, taxes, taxes!!! I have been spending a few hours each day at my desk doing what I should have been doing all year.....keeping up with the paper!!!

Also, and the best part, I am working on 2 quilts. One is a project from someone else with various pieces which need to be pressed and squared. The other is a Quilt of Valor.....I'm working on it the most. I have been scheduling about 2 hours in there at least every other day. Its coming together and looking great.

I've been building my hen house and caring for the ranch livestock so not a lot of time to carve out for my sewing but I go in there several times a day just to ponder and sort and organize things.

Hugs and prayers, Daizy #1093

CJ that is lovely! How fun!

I finished my little one's dragon blanket earlier this week. I'll post pictures if my phone would ever update with the cloud so I can get them!

I am working on a doily for Sarah, waiting for tulle in the mail to make dish scrubbies for Joyce and yesterday I bought some embroidery thread to start working on embroidering the tea towel set my mom got me for my b-day (they have the pattern for mason jars and days of the week printed on them). Unfortunately the craft store only had about 1/3 of the colors I needed in stock but they said they should have all the colors in by next week. I guess I can only do one at a time anyway! Oh and I picked up a small wreath frame to make a tea wreath out of but my clothes pins have all disappeared so I have to get more.

I'm also working on writing projects. I need to revive my blog that has been neglected. I'm working on writing a 34 week Kindergarten Social Studies curriculum for homeschoolers. Plus...other things!

Hopefully I can get y'all pictures soon! In the meantime here is the Amigurumi puzzle ball dinosaur I made the baby for his first bday! (I don't think I've posted the pic here but I have put it in other threads so you may have seen it)

I finished this doll for a special little girl named Sarah. Sarah's favorite colors are pink and purple. The dolls face is hand drawn and colored, the clothing is cotton and the hair is yarn. It took me a while to get the doll done but I really like how she came out. I hope that Sarah does too!

I just finished crocheting this shawl. I really like how it came out the colors speak spring to me. Now I just have to find someone to give it to.

And I just made this lilac-violet? angel out of clay. Yes, I DO make other things out of the clay besides fairy doors.

hugs,
Marcy

Such beautiful things everyone is making! I'm always so impressed by the creativity we have here and the diverse ways everyone has of expressing it. I've been card making getting ready for Easter, but getting back to my stitching this week. I'll finish that sweater if it kills me-- it probably will ;)

Happy Day!

Oh everyone has been busy. Marcy your doll is adorable and so is your lilac violet! You make such neat things out of clay. You certainly picked some pretty spring colors for your shawl.

I have been working on cleaning my room today. Company coming and they will be using my bedroom so need to get it cleaned up. Surrounded in craft stuff but now it is all put away. At least until after Easter. Left my knitting out so maybe I will get that worked on some more. Have to have something creative to do.
