The fairy House is adorable!!! I love those too! Many times I have built these in the woods when my kids were little, then took them for a walk for them to "discover" the Fairy Village! It was priceless to see the look on their faces when they came upon one.

Sure have a lot of talented Farmgirls!! Keep posting, more pictures too. I will take some pictures of my work in progress to post as well.

I am so grateful I am part of MJF! What a creative and talented group of women. You all inspire me so much. I am currently working on another pincushion, a new knitting project (I am a beginner knitter), a garter and ring bearer pillow for my daughter's upcoming wedding, and a long tunic blouse for myself. I have so many projects I want to start, but never enough time! When do most of you work on your projects? Sheri, your hatboxes are gorgeous. Dianne

Right now I'm crocheting a simple scarf for my school's spring fundraiser. I'll hopefully have time to make more than the one I've already made and the one I'm working on, but it all depends on how much time I have. Once summer comes (too long to wait), I'll have more time to do and learn more things.
God's Blessings,
Megan

Hi Dianne, I'm a stay at home mom so I work on my projects thruout the day...after I've fed the horses, walked the dogs and finished my other chores around here. I like to stay busy so I go straight from chores to my art! BTW, I'm the stay at home mom of a son who is now in college...so I have lots of free time during the day!

Finding the time to work on projects when the house is clean is the hardest thing for me, I have had to learn to deal with a certain amount of imperfection, but there is a clutter quotient in my head and if the house is over that I really can't sit down and enjoy myself.
That said - I am going to work on a nightgown and pajama set that I started last summer (they are definitely for summer) and hope that I finish them for this year's warm weather.
Yesterday I finished an apron and a bunch of napkins that I made out of vintage tablecloths.
I have several days off work right now so I got the clutter down and am now having some fun

I just finished up some kitchen towels. Posted the pictures under the Marketplace section and also a closeup on my blog. Not enough hours in a day to get all the projects done that I want to!!

Jo, those are adorable towels!

I am working on a gift for my cousin and his new bride. My quilting book calls is a spool block, ie this http://www.quiltbug.com/images/spool.gif but I am doing it in 3 colors not just 2. I have never made this before and so far its been fun, but I haven't started sewing it. Now that is what comes next...

Hi Emily,
Thanks! Love the block you picked. You will have lots of fun sewing for sure. Are you doing it by hand or machine? Do you like to hand quilt or machine quilt? Be sure to post more pictures as you work on your project!!

Jayne,
I would love to see a picture when you have one completed! How tiny are your yo-yo's? Do you use scraps for them? You got my curiosity up!

Yesterday the boys were both sick so I got to work on two skirts. One was a plaid tablecloth skirt and the other was a skirt made out of some sort of scarf type thing my mom brought me from the goodwill. Hopefully I will get pictures taken of all my creations as of late and get them on one of my blogs in the next couple days (the farm one). I never used to really like clothes, but when you can make your own...it makes it more interesting!!

How cute Joanna!!

I have been crocheting some dish rags from my stash of cotton yarn. Some of the yarn is probably older than Channah! LOL!!

Birthday banner, birthday banner, birthday banner for Saturday (Violet's 1st Birthday). I couldn't find a template large enough for the letters, so I drew them freehand and cut them out of varied fabrics, but now I don't like the A, the R or the D, so I need to redo those this evening, and then stitch the whole thing together with biased tape (and go to the grocery for the party, get dishes together, clean the house and oh yeah, sleep :))

I read somewhere that you should work on your art first, then do chores, but I'm afraid if I go into my sewing room that early, I'd never come out! So I usually take care of the animals and kids first, get some laundry, cleaning, and bill-paying done first, then work on my sewing. I'm not a night person, so during the week when I work at my day job, I can't be too creative at home. Thank goodness for snow days! I work at a college, so we've been closed a few days this winter. And weekends! Dianne

I have the quilt blocks for my sister's quilt laid out, so hopefully this will get me moving.

Dianne, I understand!! I do this for a living and have learned how to do the 10 minutes a day routine to keep up with everything else! ( example: stop to make a pot of coffee. .yup, I'm a coffee hound! while waiting for the coffee to brew, I clean up the counters, wash any dishes that have appeared magically in the sink, take out the trash etc. As soon as the coffee is ready, I stop, make my cup and back to work. I get sooooo much done everyday using this method)

Melanie, OoooH! A Quilt!! Love doing quilts!!! Let me know how it is coming along. . . any pictures??

Hi Fran
Your painted rock is so precious.
I looked at your farm site..you have angora rabbits? Do you spin?
I have five but I have just been saving the fiber for when I learn someday.

I have ordered from Smiley's yarns - I've gotten some really good deals over the years. I picked up some Rowan yarn there last year that was fantastic. They buy close outs when lines are discontinued so be sure to order enough of what you need as it might not be there again.

No pictures yet Joanna. :( My camera is missing. I wish I could convince Danny it's time to go to the crate so I can go to work. But he's not going for it.

Brenda~ I just saw an add for smileys yarns the other day in the Woman's Day magazine. I took a look at their website. They have some really good looking yarns and cheeee-eeee-eeeeep too! Too bad you have to place a minimum $50 order or would have had to give it a go. I'm glad you brought this up. I was wondering the same thing.
