I've been picking fleeces getting ready to wash them next week but the wind is playing havoc with things and has been all summer. Hard to pick a fleece that's trying to blow away. I got one finished before it got too windy to continue without chasing it across the yard. I have been harvesting more lavender and bundling for drying. I think for now I am finally finished with wands - at least until I can get more ribbon. So far I've done 30 in the last week. I have 4 bushes down now and still have 20+ to go! My nose is in overload and the bumblebees are sad as I take each bush down. At least it feels more like summer today after all this cool weather.

The socks look great, Jenny as always. I have two pair in process but haven't had time to touch them. The owl pillows are super cute, Sharon. How did your wands turn out?

Blessings, Sheri

Pillow slips, this pair is made with a cotton body and washable satin edging. The edging is 7 inches wide. These are large and take big pillows.

Sharon and Cherime, Your work is beautiful and very inspiring! I'm finishing up a skirt (for myself--that's a rarity!) so once I photograph it and the laptop case I made for my college-bound daughter (child #3), I'll post the pictures. Dianne in the Hudson Valley

OK, here is an update to the Lizzie Purses. First, everytime I wear my purse someone asks where I got it. So, another sale. I am sending a photo of the latest purses to date. The purple, quilted purse is sold to "PeggySmiles", thanks again Peggy. The feed back on the purses is that the size is perfect, not too big and not too small, which is why I made it to begin with. Couldn't find the Perfect size. I am trying to get 30 together so that I can do the Fall show here in Vero, but I keep selling them. That's ok with me as I love to know who buys one. Thanks for letting me "show off".

OK, I'm ready-Let's go.

I'm so excited, my whole family is going to two craft stores tonight and hopefully both my DD and myself will get fabric. I'm teaching my DD to sew at 22 years old and I need to make my pillowcases for a swap and hopefully find something I like for the apron swap, then I'll sign up for it.
Sorted thru more fabric last night, I had inherited my MIL stash when she went into the nursing home. Lots of Christmas stuff.

Oh Peggy, The purple one is definately yours! I have been asked if I would make another just like it and I declined! See what you started LOL! My neighbor friend stopped over yesterday and asked what I've been doing as she hasen't seen me around very much. When I showed her the purses, she bought two. I am having so much fun as I just love fabric, color and design. I've already made two different styles. My husband just shakes his head and says at least I'm staying out of trouble.

OK, I'm ready-Let's go.

I made a Harvest Apron for a friend from the pattern in MaryJane's "Ideabook, Cookbook, Lifebook." It is such a quick and easy project and just as cute as can be! I posted a picture on my blog and also a picture of the one I made for me awhile back.

Candy...loved your MJF Aprons on your blog-site. Very cute!

I am working on "relaxen" this whole week. My re-coop from two weeks of grand-girls. They wore me out
but in a very good way!

I should be working on MJF Angel Mail-Art...but I am going to wait until tonight to finish it up.

Susan...glad the purse sales are going so well! I will be sending my check out to you at the end of
next week. Can't wait to get my purse and thanks so much for making them uniquely One Of a Kind.
It is fun to have a purse nobody else has. :+)

blessings,
Peggy

Today I picked up a quilting book at the library and some fabric. I cut out all my pieces and will start sewing it together tomorrow. Picked up some delicious yarn and I'm going to make a dish cloth in a few minutes.

Julie...I make about 4 to 5 dish clothes a week. I am addicted to making them. I sell them, give them away, and swap them. I tell everyone
that I consider them "Cheap Therapy"! lol What kind are you making? Just curious.

Linda...I love to make prayer shawls too. For about 3 years all I made were Prayer Shawls and scarfs. I kept a Journal with pictures of each
Shawl I made and the story behind how God laid a particular person on my heart to make them for. I quit keeping track after 37 Shawls.
I made them for men with cancer, for women with all sorts of illnesses or needs and even for children with cancer or because their parent had cancer and they were afraid and needed comfort. It is an awesome way to bless somebody.

Tonight...I finished my Mail-Art and then sorted my buttons into seperate colors. So, now I have a jar of pink, a jar of blue, a jar of red,
a jar of white, a jar of purple etc. They look as pretty as canned fruit. They are eye-candy for sure!

blessings,
peggy

My daughters are coming to visit over the next month. Went shopping yesterday and bought fabric to make each of them a dish drainer quilt and matching dishcloth. I figure it's a little piece of home they can take with them.
