Hey Farmgirls!!!
If you have located your partner and haven't notified me, please do so ASAP!!!
The time has finally arrived for us to start our "Friendship Exchange" for the next year!!! This exchange will end in May of 2011 unless we decide to continue it or change partners at that time...
Let me say...if you have any questions please email me and let me know. Also please post on this from time to time and let everyone know how things are going once your exchange begins...

Let's make this a year of fun!!!
Please begin with the following!!!
Email your "New Friend" with specifics about you...your birthday, anniversary, favorite colors, hobbies, favorite seasons, likes, dislikes, things that you may collect...anything that you would like to share about yourself that would help your "New Friend" get to know you better!!!
We will begin with a package in May since many of the Farmgirls are Mother's!!! This package will be for May and June...and should include something for Mother's Day and something to celebrate the beginning of Summer...
If your "New Friend" is not a Mother...please treat her with something very special for Spring and Summer!!!
Thereafter...
July-August-Something for July 4th Holiday and celebrate the beautiful season of Summer into August
September-October-Something for Labor Day-Autumn/Fall
November-December-Someting for Thanksgiving-Christmas-Hannakuh/Winter
January-February-Something for New Years and Valentine's Day
March-April-Something for Easter and Spring
If your friend celebrates a holiday differently than you do...please be considerate of that!!!
Please make sure to send a card sometime during the month that you don't send a package.
As friends, both of you can decide together when you choose to send your packages to each other.
Also, please remember to send a card for Birthday's, Anniversaries, and all Holidays.
Share something of your family from years past, such a small note about a special occasion spent with them, an old photo that you can get copied or a favorite recipe to share with your new friend...let your new friend know about your roots and beginnings and what made you who you are today and how you came to know about Mary Jane's Farm...lets make this truly about getting to know each other as friends really do!!!
The package could include anything that you want, and doesn't always have to be a large package...just a few things to brighten someones day...
Some ideas would be gently used magazines or books that are no longer needed, a pretty pen,stationery with envelopes,stickers,bookmarkers,a pretty piece of fabric,spool of ribbon,post-it-note pads,a petite bottle of nail polish or lotion,packets of seeds,coffee mugs,candles,a pretty dishtowel,craft materials that you no longer need,a hand written recipe, pins,braclets etc. The list is endless, and due to recent swaps I can tell most of you are very creative.
We could do theme packages such as Mother's Day, Wedding, Anniversary, if a farmgirl is getting married or having an anniversary, Welcome Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter...it is endless of the ideas we can come up with!!!

Thanks girls for your input also! When I thought of this I wanted it to be a way to keep in touch with the special farmgirls that we meet on here, and build sweet friendships! And if it is a card or a sweet little package it is always uplifting!!!

Hi again Judy your thinking of keeping up with some of the farmgirls we read and write to on sites is great because we lose them sometimes because of all the different site inputs we do. Don't forget that Channal has built a site (on getting to know you and what does your call name mean as well as the Roak site that if you sign up for has info on other persons to help in the idea of gifts) Thanks again.
