OMG! What a perfect mag for us, at it is for me. I just ordered the preview issue. As a soon to be KY girl, I can't wait to read it.

It looks wonderful!! Thanks so much for sharing! I doubt I would have ever heard of it otherwise. There's still nowhere in my town that even carries MJF. :-/

They have a Facebook page also, where they are updating the process of the magazine. It is fun to be in on the ground floor with them.

Thanks for sharing about this magazine. I'm going to give them a try. This sounds like it's going to be a great magazine! I also joined their Facebook page to keep up with the magazine as it develops.
Thanks again, I would probably never heard of it otherwise!

i just subscribed too! I also do enjoy Country Woman though did not subscribe as when i tried to and had a question their customer service was horrible. (well... had it been in the US or maybe even if they spoke english it would have been another experience, but they didn't) Thanks for the link!

Anybody besides me unable to open anything on their web page? Or, I get a little square box with an "X" in it that also won't open?

Have you gotten your first issue yet? I did and have already read it cover to cover. So far I like what I see!

Got my first issue...LOVED the beautiful photographs and stories. Only downside I can see is that it seemed to have alot of advertisements (albeit NICE advertisements) for small primitive shops etc. I liked what I saw. In fact I passed it on to a fellow farmgirl already to try and spread the word. Cant wait to see what the Christmas Issue brings! I believe we paid $6.95 for the issue- that being said- I dont think I would pay that each issue- if they had a "deal" for a yearly subscription I would consider it for sure.

I received and read my first copy - and I like it - but I wasn't as "wowed" as I thought I would be - but its very nice. You're right, Laurie, the photography is amazing. I think it will only get better with time. I'm excited that they are doing this (its very brave to start up a new magazine in this economy)- I think they're on the right track - fun ideas, and I like the way they tour different places. I am anxious to get the Christmas issue.

I loved the first issue and can't wait for the Christmas issue to be out. I went ahead and odered a subscription, they ran a special of $24.00 for a couple of weeks.
I was just blown away that the editor is only 21 years old. I am so excited for all of them and hope the word gets out to everyone and they get the support they need to make a go of it.

Yes the editor Ben Ashby is only 21 YEARS OLD!!!!! Quite an amazing feat to accomplish at such a young age. I really do love the fact that they are all about stepping back to the way things used to be and just living simpler. I think that is what impresses me the most and gives me hope for the future- that someone so young has the right attitude about what is truly important. He seems wise beyond his years. I am looking forward to the Christmas issue as well.
