Howdy Farmgirls!
For several years now, MaryjanesFarm readers have been exchanging mail-- not everyday, ordinary mail, which is becoming less and less common all by itself, but creative, inspiring, awesome pieces of art! Here is a link to some samples of MailArt :

Mail art is fun, it doesn't have to be expensive, and anyone can do it! If you feel the need to create something frugal and fun, if you like to receive surprises in the mail, and if you love the idea of making a fellow farmgirl many miles away smile, then this exchange is for you!
Here is how you do it :
If you have participated before or if you are new, the sign up for 2012 is the same. Send me and email (Rachael at mommybelly@yahoo.com or use the MJM forum to send me a message)with the following information :
1. Your name (first and last)
2. Your email address
3. Your MJF user id
4. Your physical address (where you want to receive your mail art!)
5. Your favorite color/food/holiday (one two or all three)
6. What part of MJF magazine you like the best (Farm Kitchen, Each Other, Reader's Write, Stitching Room, etc)
7. Your birthday (you do not need to indicate year, although I think if you have earned it, you should claim it!)
The first four are required, but the last three are not-- they are just fun ways for me to match you with someone who has similar interests.
The first exchange of 2012 starts in February with a Valentine's Day Theme (we are skipping January as usual). I will have your names sent to you by the 25th of January so you will have plenty of time to burn some creative energy into an envelope. 
That is how you sign up!
Now here are the rules for participating :
1. You must put your mail art in the mail by the 15th of each month.
2. You must let me know before the 25th if you cannot participate and want to be taken off the exchange list temporarily or permanently. (Taking a break is fine! But please be considerate and let me know. )
3. After you have received your art, you will need to post that you recieved it on that month's mail art topic. If you can take a picture and post it, that would be even better.
4. All Mail Art should be in good taste and reflect the spirit of Maryjanes Farm.
