Thank you everyone for your kind words! I'm having a wonderful month so far....I've been dreaming and scheming fun events for our farmgirls here in Minnesota during the Jubilee weekend. I've even been taking some time to go through old farmgirl photos of our chapter and all our adventures. It's been such a wonderful journey down memory lane! Hugs to you all! :)

Does anyone know why the Farmgirl Of The Month Record isn't up to date? I think Alee was the one keeping it up. It makes it a lot easier to scan that so you can appoint another Farmgirl that hasn't been awarded yet.

Thank you Meg and MaryJane!!! I'm so excited to color and doodle! It's one of my favorite things and prismacolors colors are my favorite!Thanks also for the new book! I absolutely love kid lit and can't wait to read it aloud to all my favorite farmgirls!!!! You guys are the best!!! Lots of love to both of you.

I would like to thank MaryJane and Meg for my wonderful Farmgirl surprise also! Do to my traveling lifestyle, I only get my mail once or twice a month. I was very excited when my mail arrived in a box instead of an envelope. The reason being was a wonderful surprise package from the Farm. I received a beautiful certificate proclaiming my Farmgirl of the Month for February, a beautiful embroidered dish towel, a milk bottle candle and a perfect coffee mug from the new collection at the farm. Thank you MaryJane and Meg for the great acknowledgement.

I read this morning that the author, Johanna Basford, of the "adult" coloring book has sold a million so far. But it's not just for adults. My grandgirls like it also.

Well Farmgirl sisters....my month is up and it has been FABULOUS!!! Thank you everyone for your kind words and fun memories! I can't believe a month has passed already, but time flies when you're having fun! :)
My nomination for Farmgirl of the Month ~ April 2015 is someone that most of you will know if you've been hanging around the forums for any length of time. She is an amazing farmgirl with supergirl powers I think. She knows how to play nicely with very large animals that your average person wouldn't dare, she can knit and crochet like a crazy woman, she travels the globe to watch America's "favorite pastime" and see her kids and grandkids, she is fearless, thoughtful, energetic, and resourceful. She knows her way around the farmgirl kitchen and garden, is about to become a beekeeper and who knows what else! She has one of the largest collections of vintage aprons I've seen, she is married to a fellow zookeeper, she loves gingerbread men/women, and certainly doesn't let moss grow under her feet. She has hosted way too many swaps to count and I'm sure you would know who I'm talking about if I said dishcloth swap!

Here she is with MaryJane explaining how the swaps have become such a source of joy and are truly special in our lives. She also suggested that MaryJane become the postmaster general because of all the farmgirl mail being sent! :)

Hello Ladies,
Well I am so flattered by this nomination. I really am quite suprised. Currently getting bees organized for our farmhouse has been quite and undertaking and I feel like I have been doing nothing but bees since January. For those of you new to the forum....what beasts could April be talking about. My husband and I both work at the MN Zoo. I suprevise the Northern Trail, he supervises the Farm. He really is the farmer in our family. I am just originally a girl from Chicago that always was a farm girl at heart even before there was such a thing.
If you dishcloth swap with us, then you hear of my adventures with my 4 legged babies. And those of you that havent, pictures of a few of the last couple. The polar bear picture is when I worked in Alaska and helped on a project.
