Julie: I was fgotm for January. I got wonderful goodies too. I hope you are having a good month. Did you have a freeze last night? What happened to just spring arriving?

Bonnie it has been a crazy week. We had 2 inches of rain Sunday, an inch of snow Sunday night, freezing temps Monday and Tuesday night. It is starting to warm up now. I didn't have my garden plants out yet, but all my fruit trees were in full bloom, the durum, flax, rye and corn are all up and not sure how it will effect the alfalfa. Yes we need spring back for sure.

Thank You Mary Jane and Meg for the Huge suprise in my mailbox yesterday. I was blown away by your kindness. The ceramic tin replica mug is so great, I use several vintage enamel mugs when I have to deliver field meals or we have extra help with cattle and I serve lunch in the vet rooom in the barn, but I think this one will stay in my kitchen just for me. I love the milk bottle candle, it smells wonderful. The braided ribbon will be used on the next farmgirl package I send out and your new book came at the perfect time, I had 2 of the granddaughters over to help plant the garden on the first day of summer break, our rule is you have to read a book to Grandma before you go home during the summer (we don't want them to loose those skills they worked so hard all school year for) as they helped unpack your box and found the book in the bottom I just told them another Grandma must have the same rule and sent a book just for them. I will Cherish the certificate Mary Jane and Meg Thank You again.

My reign as farmgirl of the month has ended and I enjoyed very moment of it. Thank You again Diana for nominating me and thank you everyone else for you cards, emails, gifts and well wishes.
Now my nomination. This was really hard to do as everyone deserves to be FGOTM. But I decided on someone who is rather special to me. We have never met in person but I know if we did it would be 2 old friends you couldn't pry apart. I would love to visit her quilt store as she also loves to pet fabric. She has a kind and generous spirit, is mama to back yard chickens, is soon to be an empty nester, travels between Canada and the U.S. quite often and is our Hen Honcho of the Scattered Prairie Farmgirls and does a good job of keeping us together.
Carole Prevost-Meier (Ceridwen) is my choice for the June FGOTM. Enjoy your month Carole, you truly deserve it!
