Hello all!

A friend of mine who love to back pack shared this idea for food. It is a lot of prep work before hand, but once you are out on the road, it is super easy!!

take your fave veggies, seasonings and meats (or fake meats) and wrap them in tin foil, making individual servings, pack these in your cooler, then just throw them on the fire and cook for like a half hour or so. It is good to have to meat cooked in advanced of course.

thoughts? :)

I like to do a lot of prep and pre-cooking before we leave. I've been busy this evening getting things ready. I like to relax when camping like the rest of my group!

Tonight I made elbow macaroni. 1 batch for pasta salad and 1 batch for campfire mac & cheese. I made my biscuits for biscuits & gravy. Dh will cook the gravy at the campsite. I also cut up my chicken along with green peppers and put in my marinade for fajitas.

Hubby makes breakfast and I handle lunch and dinner. We're headed out for the weekend!

Great ideas for camp food! The prepping is a lot of work, but sure makes the vacation more enjoyable!!

i always say i am going to do the prepwork ahead, but never seem to have the time. i can get the menus planned since i can do that in my head, so it usually works out okay. but i do have to remember to hide the bread from the raccoons, it is difficult to make French toast with out it.

Some dreams are worth the risk it takes to make them real.
