We sold my horse, Rusty. I am kind of bummed that he was sold while I was away in NY for a month because I didn't get to say goodbye. He's only about 45 minutes away though so ya never know when I might run into him at a show or rodeo somewhere.
Benny, my yearling has gone from bay to a dark dark dark bay. I love watching youngsters change colors.
My husband competed last weekend at the World Championship Blacksmith's competition in Hebron, CT. He did much better than his first competition with them(this time he got 10 out of 18 overall) which is not bad at ALL considering he's still only a few months out of school. We had a LONG drive home with two tired adults and a cranky 9 month old.
That's about all the big animal related things going on out here.
I'm going to go look at a mare in a few weeks and if the gal still has her come spring, I may look at buying her but that is still a long ways off. She's a very pretty bay appendix that has been trained in level 1 dressage.
Here are a few pictures from the horseshoeing competition -
This is the tent that they hold all of the competitions in.
Photo of the tent from the inside just so you can get an idea of just how big it is!
Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. Congrats to your husband. Marly
