Hi everyone!

always still looking......

(I posted this in the marketplace as well, as I'm willing to barter or buy.)

I'm looking for vintage sewing machine attachments or parts. Preferably Singer, & Willcox & Gibbs.

If you have something, please let me know what machine it came off of and provide pics please.

Thanks
Connie

I have a box of attachments that fit a singer. It is Griest and it is a black box containing all sorts of foot feeds?. There are 8 in the box.

Connie,
I couldn't find the picture of the box I have. I looked on ebay and it shows the box but different parts. I know one of the feet is a ruffler, and there is one that rolls the material, I am not sure of the other ones but there are 8 pieces.
Let me know if you might be interested.

Connie-

I am in process of clearing out and cleaning up my sewing room. Last summer I bought a Singer machine (serial number G7159619, which according to one web site means it was made in 1919)at a flea market. The dealer told me it was her mothers but for some reason I doubted her.

I think the motor was possibly added later or replaced as it does not say "Singer", and it is missing the throat plate. Do you have a throat plate for this machine, or any suggestions on where I could get one, or any other accessories?

Hi Brenda,

You have a Singer 66 born on July 10, 1919. (1 day before my birthday) Yes I happen to have only 1 throat plate for a 66: http://www.thriftyfarmgirl.com/singer-66-16-sewing-machine-parts.html

I have a 1917 Singer 66 and LOVE it! The 66 was a great model.

I guess maybe I am using the wrong name for the missing part. I am missing the piece next to the throat plate, the one that slides. I will try and post a photo.

Thanks so much! Last year at the flea market there was a guy selling attachments in cardboard boxes and it was raining and all his boxes were getting wet, I felt so sorry for him.. But that was before I bought the machine!

I love my Singer 66. Mine was made in 1919. I now own my mother's also. I have not looked it up to see when it was made though.
