chili and cornbread. yum. might have to put that on the menu.

Got my email this morning and I started browsing on my phone ( we are on the road to Cinci, OH for Great Wolf lodge today) and I got through a few pages before I decided I wanted to wait and read it on the bigger screen of my iPad while I sit poolside with the baby at the resort. But I did look far enough into the From Scratch "finds" to see a moleskin gardening journal that I went and purchased on Amazon right away :)

I just made the bacon/chocolate brittle in the first issue of From Scratch! I made it for my DH to take trucking. He loves it! Bacon, chocolate, brittle and sea salt...what could be better?

I tried to sign up, but was having difficulty. I have emailed them and asked to be signed up, though. Hopefully, it will remain free. Good magazine.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?
