Hi all,
My daughter called to share something her youngest son did while they were having a rest break while visiting a children's museum. She, her husband and their four little boys were in the picnic area having a snack when the youngest boy, aged 3 years, began picking up pine cones and as the pile began to grow his parents asked him what he was doing. William continued working and said "I am composting".

When the boys come to our home one of their chores is to collect all the pine cones that fall on our front yard and then bring them to the compost bins.

When they come for over-nighters at Grandpa and Grandma's "farm", they have chores and no electronic toys or tv.

They learn to tend to animals, help with the garden, and play out-doors. We must be doing something right because they come for sleepovers at least one weekend monthly and always beg their parents to let them stay longer.

Just wanted to share a bit about my boys.

You are growing healthy young bodies, minds, and spirits along with the plants in your garden! How beautiful is that?! :)
