Do any of you smoke or cure foods? We just read this great book THe River Cottage Curing & Smoking Handbook and are inspired! :) My husband just bought something at a garage sale to use as a firebox for cold smoking and he's building an upper part --

I'd love to hear how/what you cure and smoke!

We do! My husband loves to and wants to do more of it.

Turkey, venison jerky, fish most so far. I think he wants to build a smokehouse.

What kind of things do you smoke?

Just fish at this point, but after reading that book we'd like to branch out and do more meats :)

My DH got me an awesome electric smoker for Christmas but due to the weather we haven't tried it out yet! I can't wait! I think we'll start with a whole chicken and then go from there. DH really wants to try smoking a brisket!!!
