Those look great Krista, how fun! I remember having a whole book on origami which included the papers as a child and really enjoying it. I wonder if I still have it somewhere. It was certainly one that I might have kept. I should be writing up the spinning one as I'm sure I've done at least the beginner and intermediate requirements.

Heather, that's my problem too. I still need to apply. Good luck with your badges.

Marie, the calligraphy badge is at the top of my list. I was just looking for some pens the other day.

Karen, it's a fun one. I'm about half way done with the intermediate level. The best part is my kids are loving them. They each picked one from the beginner and colored it. They keep asking if I'm done with the next ones yet!

Jill,I remember making a frog in elementary,so it was fun to make one again all these years later. I hope you can find your book.

I found the origami book, it's in pretty rough shape, but a lot of the creatures I made are still in there. I had forgotten that they were all illustrations for short fairy tales or stories. Now I've got no excuse not to try a few. :)

Hay there, I pulled out my badge binder today while cleaning. Wow, I haven't worked on these in a long long time. Time to send in a few that are completed and work on others. Ya'll are an inspiration. Keep up the good work. Hugs.

Krista, I haven't done any origami yet. But I'm doing some workshops this upcoming weekend which may lead to an embroidery badge. I need to check out what is required. I'm also doing a twig tray workshop and making a multi-media bag. If anyone knows if those would fit badges, please let me know. Thanks. :)

I see there is a basketry badge. Would a twig tray count as a basket? I've put in the picture from the workshop description.

That’s great Daizy. Good luck with your future badges.

Jill, those twig trays are so cool. I’m not sure if they count but you can always email Brian and ask. They may even fit under Nillie Will-Do.

On Friday I took my oldest to the library to get library cards and check out some books. This time around I focused on getting him some books but I will go back and check out a book I want. Now I just need to make my TBR pile and take a picture.

What awesome trays!

I need to sit down and apply for badges. I've been gardening and canning, freezing, dehydrating, etc. I'm sure there's a few badges in all that work LOL!

Heather, I need to apply to. I keep forgetting to do it. I need to flip through my book and see if I have completed anything else.

I went the first week in September and signed up for a library card. Then the kids and I went back on Friday and signed my oldest up for his own library card. They have many things available for us to use. They even offer a robotics and coding class that my oldest is really interested in but he needs to be 8 first. They also offer a 1000 books before kindergarten program that Everleigh is going to participate in. While I was there on Friday I checked out "The lost girls of Willowbrook". I seen the advertisement for it in MaryJanes magazine. I'm very drawn to any psychology related topics and knew I wanted to read it. It's only a 14 day check out so I need to read it quickly. I'm hoping I can. Here is my TBR pile.

Why am I not surprised to see some Harry Potter books in that pile LOL!

I've been so busy on the farm I still haven't applied for any badges yet. I better steer clear of the library one right now or I won't get anything done! I LOVE to read :)

I don’t know what you are talking about Heather lol! I still haven’t even read those 3 once. I have started number 5 but it’s slow moving to me. That’s why I keep stoping. I’m going to make sure I get all my badges applied for this weekend. I don’t have much input on the library book yet. It started out different than I expected but so far so good.

Hilary, have you been working on anything lately?

LOL! I can't believe you watched the movies before reading the books! The books are so much better. But, they do take a lot longer to get through than the movies :)
