I would love love love to have a knitting machine. The first I had ever heard of them was when I bought one for my daughter, from Walmart, and it didn't last very long, but boy, was it cool!

I see that they are quite expensive on Ebay, even used, and if anyone has one for barter... That would be nice. I have vintage knitting/crocheting magazines. I have fabric. Anyway, we have a variety of things that we could trade for one.Just email me.

I have one, up on a high shelf in my sewing house. I probably purchased it in the early 1980s. I tried it and knitted one flat piece, then my life got crazy busy. I need to look at it just to see what its condition is. I have not looked in that box since we moved here 24 years ago. I will check tomorrow and post here again.

Well thanks Marilyn for the reply and the effort you are putting into this. If it works out, just let me know what I can give you in return. I have a variety of things here. I do have these old knitting/crochet magazines that you may want. They are quite beautiful to even look at, I think. I also have embellishments, and a lot of larger wooden spools, beads of different shapes and sizes...

I am sorry. I am sick with a bad cold. It is cold and rainy today here in Texas. I never went out to the sewing house to check out the knitting machine. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

I have one. I have never used it. It is LITERALLY gathering dust, a LOT, in the garage. I have no idea what it would cost to send it, but it would need serviced/cleaned.

Hi Alicia,
I guess my first question is: Is it complicated to use? If the answer is no, then, I would be curious about how heavy and big it is.

I appreciate your reply. I have only ever used a basic one for kids.

TexasGran,
I didn't see an email. I don't know what happened. Sorry about that. What did it say? Perhaps you wouldn't mind resending it? I will keep my eye out for it. Right now I have no new mail in my inbox

I apologize. I have no idea.... It was given to me. It looks complicated, though.

I had one of those Bond hand-knitting machines years ago and absolutely loved it! Very simple to use. I could buy yarn on a Friday after work, knit on the weekend, and wear the sweater to work on Monday.
