                      | Hey Sara, I love that your new Annie will have a spiffy bandana for our Jubilee celebration! Will it be from the same fabric as your apron?

                      | If you go to Cologne, you have to take ALL the stairs to the top of the cathedral. It is a skinny, winding, stone stairway, and it is a LOT of steps, but worth it when you get to the top.

                      | Ok ladies- I am a little confused. (just joined yesterday) For the Jubilee celebration- do you just pick something to do for a celebration? Or do we all make the same thing? Thanks-Angie

                      | Does this help?
Claim your Jubilee specialty: "I'm going to run an apron up my flagpole" ... "deliver fresh-baked bread to my neighbors" ... "cook all my meals outdoors" ... "dance barefoot in my garden" ... Here's where we brainstorm (barnstorm?) ideas for celebrating Farmgirl Jubilee. No matter where we be, how many we are, whether online or in person, what'll it be for YOUR Jubilee?

                      | Welcome Angie, MaryJane said it well. Jubilee is a time we celebrate together, in our own way, in our own homes/towns/states. I will hang an apron by my front door with a vintage sun-bonnet and put out last year's Jubilee garden flag I made.
Thanks Winnie and Bonnie. Things aren't going as planned with making my egg gathering apron. MS fatigue and fog is getting in the way. Since I can't do everything I want to do I have put the apron aside and spending what energy I have walking Annie. Annie is a joy but she's full of all that puppy pep & go.

                      | Yes, MaryJane has reminded us that Jubilee is just what YOU want to do. There are no set rules to follow which makes it all the more special!
Welcome Angie and we are delighted you are jumping in here to celebrate our now annual Jubilee together. I would love to hear what you decide is going to work best for you!

                      | Well, I love reading about what everyone is doing to celebrate! I won't be able to participate this year as dh and I have made plans to go away that weekend to celebrate our anniversary on the 8th. I may have to just fly my apron on Tuesday when we return.

                      | Denise, I hung my apron and sun bonnet by the front door this morning. Also put out last year's Jubilee garden flag. Planning on taking them down the day after Jubilee. For me Jubilee 2016 starts today.

                      | Denise, congratulations on your anniversary! Enjoy your celebration! Next Sunday is also Mothers Day and we are talking about doing something . . . not sure yet. The weather has been so unpredictable. Had pouring rain for quite a while in the early hours this morning. Right now it cloudy, kinda windy and COLD! Not a day for being outside. Not sure what the rest of the week will bring!

                      | Sara, YAY for you! I haven't hung anything out yet because it so rainy and breezy it'll all be wet and possibly blown into the neighbors yard. My banner from last year isn't waterproof so it'll have to be hung inside, at least for now! It's not very nice weather for doing anything outside, however, the rain is going to be a boost for our green and growing things!

                      | CJ, it has been very wet and rainy here and is expected to be through the rest of the week. Our anniversary has always been either on or the same weekend as Mother's day. It is also my brother's birthday. Usually we don't do anything because the kids always want to be here for MD. But this year we just decided to go. So we made our reservations. Lord willing the weather won't be to bad. I'd love to get in some riding. They have trails there and hopefully it will be dry enough to go. I guess I can celebrate Jubilee with the horses!

                      | Happy Jubilee everyone! Who says we can't celebrate indoors if the weather is foul? Hang your banner on a curtain rod and aprons around chairs. Make it up as you go along. You could also cut a sun out of paper and put it on the fridge. That's my display area.have fun!

                      | Happy Anniversary, Denise! I'm not entirely sure what I'll be doing for Jubilee this year. With my daughter so close to graduation she's up to her eyeballs in papers, presentations, dissertations and finals. So our Mother's Day plans aren't even made. But I will be wearing my new apron (can't wait) hanging a sun bonnet outside my front door, and with any luck, "opening" our screen porch for the season. Last year we did a bit of outdoor barefoot dancing, so I truly hope to get some of that in as well!
 Happy Day!

                      | I wish I could travel around and see everyone's Jubilee decorations! Wouldn't that be fun?
Sara, I like your idea of starting Jubilee this week so that one can enjoy the decorations and process. I am glad you have your sweet new Annie to enjoy and have fun with too. Like you say, the apron can wait. Plus, I think any favorite apron is perfect for our Jubilee. Apron wearing and MJF go together any day of the week!!

                      | Since I won't be home over Jubilee I thought I could still use my mini aprons to decorate my kitchen. They are all hanging on a long piece of twine with tiny clothespins holding them on. I have had them for quite a few years now from swaps we used to do here. What better way to celebrate than to bring them out as Jubilee decorations? It is so wet and rainy here this week that I'm not sure I'll get to put anything out on the porch.

                      | Sweet idea, Denise! I'll bet you will smile to see them when you return home!
Finally, we have sunshine! I will be picking the rest of the violets I need for making jelly! Also, picking dandelions, and honeysuckle for jelly! I will make my MJF apron and hang my Farmgirl Sunbonnet from my little porch!

                      | I have been 'celebrating' for the past several weeks! I hung my Jubilee apron and banner on my shop patio... along with a MJF magazine...
Good thing too... cuz we have a big thunder-rain storm coming in on Thursday the 5th and to rain thru Sun.. so Jubilee and Mothers Day is gonna be a tad soggy for us here in the mountains... glad I started celebrating early! lol!
