I have several years of magazines to barter.

Home made soaps, knitted socks (large), fabrics for quilting, or quilting supplies, (or if you live in TN near me-I really need a rooster-white leghorn or some other white rooster-white egg layer hen would also work), seeds-prefer home saved, organic heritage types, I don't know....what do you have that you want to barter?

Hugs and Squishies!!

Sorry I don't need the magazines but got a chuckle out of you wanting a White Leghorn rooster. I just sold the last of the chick I had ordered and they were supposed to be all girls but one ended up a rooster and yes it was what you were looking for. I begged the guy to take it. Have you tried Craigslist? Good luck!

Too bad we do not live closer I have a beautiful white silkie rooster that I am trying to find a home. He is very gentle, does not try and attack you at all. and he is pretty too! hehehehehehe I love the grit magazines so I will have to think on what I would like to barter or if I have anything. I do have 100% cotton fabric that has little girls in mind? or what colors are you looking for?

Thank you for the great idea,Beverly. I'll try that.

As for the silkie, aren't they on the small side? My hope was to begin breeding my own meat chickens. The rooster I have right now is a frazzled feathers breed and is also a bit on the smallish side.

Last year, we hatched 2 eggs (he fathered them). Both were the cutest little fluffy chicks ever! We thought, oh boy! We could do this. But, when fully grown, they both were half the size of their mothers. One was a rooster (he was very tasty) & the other one is a hen and lays small eggs.

So, we will either just order 20-30 straight run chicks next spring & hope at least one will be the kind of rooster we want, then hope for broody hens, or we will just keep ordering meat chicks to raise ourselves.

We just wanted to do it all from the egg to the table.

I have two grand daughters to sew for.
If you will pay postage, I'd except fabric too.
(Can you email me pics of the fabric?)

A medium size flat rate box costs under $14. It should fit the magazines.

I don't think I could get all three mags in one box, so in which order do you want me to fill? Otherwise, sounds great.

grit, MJF and then mother earth. and make sure you get the box that says set fee or whatever they call it. cause they have 2 boxes and one goes by weight and the other one goes by the set amount and you can put up to 70 pounds in it. I once got the wrong box and she said $30 and some odd change and I just let my mouth fall open, then she said go get that box and move everything and it will be 13.65 I think they are, I went and changed the boxes real fast like and never made that mistake again. hehehehehehe

I'l like to try to keep them all together, just in case there is someone who would take the whole bunch. They wouldn't like several years except for two magazines. (I sure wouldn't like that much?) I'm going on vacation, but after I get back.......we'll see. Will that be ok?
