My son is 16 years old. We just started homeschool online. My son's first time doing this, it's all new to us all. There's a lot of work to just get started. And a lot of orientations to go through for each class he's taking. I've become stressed out and I know my son is too. The rest of the day we're all going to rest into Shabbat(Sabbath).

Welcome to the forum, Carmen. :) Belated Shabbat shalom from a fellow Sabbath keeper. Hope things smooth out with the online classes... anything new can be so overwhelming...but pretty soon you guys will both be pros, and hopefully it will be less stressful! :)

Please do not take this as a put down. I just want to let you know that virtual schooling, is public school at home, it's not legally homeschooling. And you are not alone in being stressed out by it. Because it's public school, it is often much more difficult then real homeschooling is. I would highly suggest seeking out your local homeschooling advocacy group for your state. They may be able to help you. Often during the summer time they have high school and diploma 101 classes as well. Remember all the states in the USA allow homeschooling and a parent issued diploma is just as official as a virtual school one. And virtual school (online) is not the only option.
