Each month a new block (or more) will be posted and a new thread will begin for each new month. I hope many of you will join in and we will have a lot of new quilts in 12 months or less.
You can join in at any time. We'd love to have you!
This month 2 blocks are here; you can do one or none of them. Your choice. These blocks will be yours, so choose your fabrics and quilt away.

I am posting the October blocks a bit late because of travels and limited access to Internet.
This month Denise (Denise Ann)chose our block(s) for October. You can either do one or more of them. Both blocks have been around for a long time.
Remember to always use scant 1/4" seams when making quilt blocks.
The first block is called Friendship Star.

Your blocks should measure 12-1/2" square when finished, before they are sewn into a quilt/project.
As always, have fun with these blocks and please post your blocks so we can all see what fabrics you are using. It is amazing that a different fabric choice or placement of light-dark fabrics can often really change the look of the blocks.

No rush, Sherry. Since these are your blocks, you can complete them on your own timeframe. I don't want anyone to get stressed out and think they have to finish them in a month. I haven't done this new one early like I have in the past due to traveling and other commitments. No biggie. LOL! Life happens.

Here are my October blocks - FINALLY!
One hint - take Very Scant seams on the center square made with 4 triangles.
