Could you lovely ladies share tips on how to stay warm while you are doing your homesteading chores? I have three goats and they just don't see as much of me because I am so COLD outside.

On a side note, my feet are always frozen even in the house under a blanket.

Anyway, please share what you where in winter to stay warm. :)

I recently purchased a pair of Smartwool http://www.smartwool.com/ socks because someone on here recommended them. I love them!

Another go to for me is CuddlDuds http://www.cuddlduds.com/

And my hooded Berne Coat and Coveralls http://www.berneapparel.com/

Hi Audra -

It's not exactly a natural solution, but Sears sells a heated jacket by Craftsman that will foot the bill: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-women-s-heated-jacket/p-009VA93049112P?plpSellerId=Sears&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2 They're a pretty price, but they should last a good long while. They have other styles for men, too. And there are other brands out there that make them, such as DeWalt. Hope this helps!

Stay warm!

I have a wool zippered sweater vest that I wear under a warm coat or jacket plus I have wool fingerless gloves (with the little ends that fold over) and I wear a lightweight pair of gloves under them. Plus a nice wool scarf. Also have flannel lined jeans and I try to imagine holding my hands over a hot fire when they're cold. sounds crazy, but it helps. Also recommend hot hands instant warmers that you just snap and they will keep your hands or feet warm fot a few hours.
