I received a surprise package in the mail from CountryGalPal! It made me smile. I was surprised to have a package arrive and then upon opening it, I was very happy to see her thoughtful gift of two beginner's weaving books! I have already zeroed in on a great beginner project to build my skills.
Carol, that was so thoughtful and it really made me feel warm and happy inside to know that someone I have never met took the time and caring energy to send me something so meaningful. Thank you so much!
We've had a rough couple of weeks here with two dogs going to the animal hospital for two completely unrelated health issues. Thankfully, both dogs are back home and doing well. We are still awaiting all of the test results, but for the younger dog, they are pretty certain they have her all figured out. So, progress is being made. That said, it can take the wind out of your sails to see your "fur babies" going through major health issues. All of this is to say that the RAOK card and package that I received this week added a ray of sunshine to my day. Thank you again. :)

If you have not acknowledged the receipt of a RAOK, please take the time to post ASAP. If you become a repeat offender, you will be removed from our RAOK.
This breaks my heart to write this post. . . we are Farmgirl Sisters, we are here to show our love and respect for each other and this type of reminder is not suppose to be needed.
If you cannot uphold your end of the RAOK rules, please send me a private message and I will remove you from our list. No worries, things happen, that we all understand. However, it is inexcusable to not acknowledge someones act of kindness to you.

I was in Florida from Jan 26 to Feb 4th. I just picked up my held mail yesterday. In my mail was a very nice Valentine Card from Marlene.

I understand the need for us to post our Thank You's and am hoping that my being gone and not getting my mail was not the reason for the "Firm" reminder above. I will be going away frequently in the next few months.

Hello Everyone,
A quick note; The above post is a stern reminder for us all. Life happens for all of us, including myself. We know that folks travel, might be sick, maybe even have had a tragedy in their lives. These things cause delays and we all are very understanding of this.
However, it has been brought to my attention that several RAOK's have been sent and have yet to be acknowledged. After having this brought to my attention more than once, I felt the stern reminder was needed to prevent a developing trend. After all, we are farmgirl sisters, we should be reaching out with our hugs and thank you's to those who are lifting us up with a wonderful RAOK.
We are not trying to single out anyone. This was simply a stern reminder of our responsibilities.
Okay, enough said. . . Let's get back to the spirit of the RAOK!!
Let the RAOK Festivities continue with smiles, tears of joy, laughter and lots of fun surprises to come!!

Thank you for the cute card and the seeds! I am getting ready to start a few plants indoors next week. It won't be long and I will have my garden set up outside too. I can't wait to see these seeds grow as well. Are these seeds considered heritage varieties? Hmmm...now the anticipation of getting started is killing me. *haha*
