Dara, the box of buttons arrived today! It is awesome! Thank you for the beads and vintage ribbons and the most amazing soap! It smells wonderful. Thank you! Tonight I played in the buttons, selecting a few to use as centers of flowers on an apron for my younger grand daughter. Perfect.
As I ran my hand through the buttons, one would catch my eye....and my mind would wander, wondering what lady wore a special blouse with these buttons, or what little girl lost this button from the pretty little sun dress perfectly stitched for her by her mother, as she sat listening to the radio with her husband in the evening. Each button is special to me now! Thank you button angel and Dara.

I want to say thank you again for the gift of the buttons. I have used some of them. My sweet grand daughter is in nursing school. When I asked if she was giving her classmates and teachers a Christmas gift...Her hesitation let me know they did not have money for such. So I suggested that I could make some tissue covers, and some stethoscope covers. She seemed to be pleased that I offered. Well, a few days later she called me to tell me her class of 32 has 3 teachers! I never dreamed that #. But when I finished I had made 80 stethoscope covers. All had two buttons. Half were Christmas prints and half were for any time. God sat with me as I sewed and sewed. Long hours...Then the pressing, folding and delivery to her. She smiled. Tomorrow she will give them out, they have finals and it is the last day of classes before Christmas break. This young lady, who married June 2nd has had a crazy life since June 2nd. Her hubby's grandfather died, then his maternal grandmother died a week later. They had to buy a car for her to get to school. Then she was diagnosed with lupus. I'm so happy that you, God and I could help her with these little gifts. So a special thank you and a big Farm girl but from both of us to you.
(Since I had the fabrics in my stash as well as thread, ( and of course those special buttons,) my only purchases were narrow elastic, elastic cord, Velcro and little packages of purse size tissues. About $20.)

Dara, thank you so much! I will say that as I looked through those buttons and found the ones I thought would look good...sometimes I would think about keeping them. But sensibility would take over. Then I would think about the young ladies and gentlemen and their patients who may comment on the beautiful buttons. I sewed them on and thanked God for helping me and for you too!
