The coaster's a cute idea. I like ideas that can be done several different ways.

I have decided that THIS year I am going to participate in the Jubilee! I have been lurking around here for years and it's time I joined in the fun. :) I am excited that this year's theme is quilts and am going to start planning some projects. I think several small projects instead of one big one will be good for me. Thank you for all the great ideas and inspiration!

Hi Katherine, welcome to Jubilee 2019. I'm doing small projects too. Would like to do a patchwork garden flag for front flower bed. Thinking about using cloth backed plastic tablecloths from the dollar store. That way I can leave it out if it rains.

I love all the ideas everyone is coming up with and making. I too am still trying to decide, I have never made a mug rug so maybe I could make one of those. Like Winnie my favorite part of making any type of quilt is the hand quilting I just love it, so relaxing and peaceful. But, I just need to get started!

HI Katherine, and so happy you are joining in the Jubilee plans and fun for 2019!!

Gosh, coasters, mug rugs, banners, flags, table runners and more all sound good to me! Like you, Linda, I just gotta get busy and focus on one simple project. Lately, I have been going down a rabbit hole with my little loom that inspired something else, that inspired a third idea. OY!! It is easy for me to get off track when I am having fun!! LOL!!

Winnie, that should be middle name, "gets off track"..
Today, as I pulled out some fat quarters, and several quilt patterns to make another runner, hubby called me to come see a video on RVing,, and yep,,, 3 hours later, the fabric is still on the counter where I left it,,,lol! yes, I have the attention span of a gnat,,,

Today, I was looking through some simple patterns to make another table runner,, I have narrowed it down to either, 'whack-a-stack or 'tumbling blocks'... hmmm, decisions, decisions...
oh and fyi, I LUV your quilts!

Diana,, oh if only I didn't have the attention span of a gnat.. I might be brave and make larger quilts,, but alas,, a Lap Quilt is pretty much my comfort zone..

Today I started yet another table runner,,, "April Showers bring May Flowers"... tumbling blocks..
.. I think it is more in line with MaryJanes, May birthday.... Now to back and bind it...
oh and I had a little support from my gnomes...

Wow, what a PERFECT year for this theme! I chose quilting/sewing as my main hobby after years of dabbling in all sorts of things. As I was refolding my quilts earlier last month, I thought that having a farmgirl "Airing of the Quilts" meeting would be so much fun and then Quiltee told me this year's Jubilee theme was quilting, so there ya go! I can't wait!

I can't hold a meeting on the true Jubilee weekend, due to some plans I have made, but I'll still do a meeting, nonetheless. :D

Amanda - I had been thinking about starting a MJF Online Quilt Show thread for over 2 years. I think I will do that - a topic where we can all post pictures of quilts (including any quilted items like tablerunners, wallhangings, banners, purses, etc.) that we have made. What do you'all think? Should I start that this week?
