Hubby took a trip to see relatives and brought home this little cutie. Her name is Cassie.

She has supreme separation anxiety and is a very excitable dog. Much like other doxies I've owned. I've read there's a combination of essential oils rubbed on the neck area which actually works. Can anyone help me with this formula?

Hi Sylvia,
I did a Google search and found this for you:

Aromatherapy. Another effective resource for dog anxiety treatment is aromatherapy. Essential oils include lavender, cedarwood, bergamot, vetiver, chamomile, ylang ylang flower, clary sage, and sweet orange. Some fragrances are said to produce neonatal pheromones, reminding dogs of their mothers and reducing anxiety.

Not sure how to use the oil with your dog. I hope this helps.

Hi Sylvia again,

I checked You Tube and there are quite a few videos on technique with essential oils. I hope your new baby will adjust. Sometimes it is the calm assertive energy from a loving owner that can fix a lot of issues.

BTW she is a cutie!

I did see an article about aromatherapy and some suggested oils for this affliction. Yesterday I left the TV on with a talk show going--lots of human voices. I found some calm dogs when I got back and only the yipping I get cause they're happy to see me. Some improvement. Thanks for your suggestions, much appreciated.
