Ok, so,,, we headed out on Thursday,,, made it to the campgrounds, and set up, all went well... even the 'skeeters' didn't bother us right away...
Friday, late afternoon hubby and I walked over to the basketball court,, we use to love to play "HORSE" a game were you have to make baskets before spelling out the letters to the word, HORSE.. and I am proud to say, I made the 1st basket, then hubby took a turn, then it was my turn again, I hit the ring and the basketball bounced out of court,, I (did I mention I was wearing sandels?)chased after the ball when the toe of my sandal bent under and I became Airborn, Yep! went head over teakettle,, thank goodness I remembered to 'tuck-n-roll.. long story short, I landed hard on my right shoulder, and both knees,,, big time bruised and scrapes.. and my left knee swelled up... I have not hurt this bad since my 40's when I went down on my motorcycle...
You'd think I know better.. but nope,,, my 65 year old body and my 21 year old brain are not connected...
But wait, it gets better...
while walking over to the dinnett in the motorhome, up I clippted my toe on the dinnett,, it turned the prettiest shade of purple and it poofed up to nearly the size of my big toe...
Oh that was fun...
So now my family have threatened to 'Bubble Wrap' me for my own safety... all I can say is Thank Goodness for anti-infamitory meds and extra strength pain killer...
And you thought I was 'Graceful"..hahaha!
FYI, the camp resort, made Lasagna dinner for all the mom's on Mother's day as well as big fat cinnebons for breakfast,,, so the camping trip wasn't a total loss!

I was all set to enjoy some crafting with my side kick... maybe next time...
I use my 'jeans butt bag' as a tote...
simple cross stitch and cotton yarn to crochet dish wash rags.. I did manage to crochet 2 which I gave to my 'neighbors' at the campground.
I use this slide out drawer under the dinette seat to store some of my stuff...(I have 'yoyos' in the sewing basket ready for sewing)

Ginger ever so patiently sits and watches me...
Ahh, life at the campground can be relaxing...

ouch quite the day you had there girl. i guess you learned don't play basketball in sandals. Glad your ok, but i know it probably hurts. Be careful !! lol

Oh My stars! our little Ginger was a dirty mess by day 2,, she looked grey and brown ... that is the problem when you have short legs,, close to the dirt! lol! DH gave her a mini bucket bathe so she wouldn't drag the dirt into the coach and on the sofa where she likes to snuggle with DH...

Oh my Grace, what an awful tumble you had!!! It makes me wince just hearing about how painful it was too!! Yes, I completely understand how our older bodies seem to be completely unconnected to our brains or reason and we just got out there and act like it was 30 years ago!! LOL!! You take care now and get well. I love how the campground made such lovely Mother's Day treats for all of the Moms!! It sounds delicious!!

Ouch, Grace! That looks painful. I'm so sorry. I hope you are feeling better and heal quickly. You have the perfect crafting sidekick! She is so dang adorable. Glad you guys had fun otherwise and yummy food too.

AND... we made it home just about in time too! as, yesterday the weather went back to cold, windy and drizzly again...
Thank goodness 'mama nature' gave us a break for a few days... now to go snuggle in my jammies and fuzzy slippers again..
